Moving the Hot Tub to the far corner of the back yard was a real downer. Could no longer see the beach from the Hot Tub and no longer just a step away.

Loved this property and the first class renovations throughout the home both inside and out. Beautiful decor, new furniture, designer kitchen and ocean views from each patio and deck. Awesome home to share with family and make memories.

Property very dated and old looking inside, feels unclean in some areas simply due to need for renovations. Furniture and carpeting felt dated, unclean and sandy. Steep stairs are good exercise but were difficult for older family members and laundry on bottom floor. Several TVs did not work properly and advertised DVD player in ET room downstairs does not have correct plugs so disappointed kids. Outside deck areas really need to be cleaned and maintained. Spiderwebs galore and trash on floor. For the amount paid, disappointed with lack of upkeep in general on property. Will look for more updated property for next year.

Location was steps from the beach and in a great shopping location. Did need to put in some repair calls but staff was very quick to respond and make repairs. Some items in the house need to be upgraded or changed out. Most of the bedding and mattresses need to be replaced. Some new pots and pans can be added. Plastic storage shed in back needs to be replaced or repaired. The new owner needs to do a general inspection of everything and decide for himself!

Nice property by the beach with a view.. worked really well for two families. consider renting / bringing a baby gate given location of the steps in the top floor. Used the hot tube every night! What a blast.

This was the first time renting through them and also the worst experience! Staff is very unprofessional (waiting to get the keys to our place and hearing what they told other customers just unbelievable!) for as long as we had to wait to get into our place it should have been spotless! Floors were filthy, sinks weren't draining properly and one was starting to smell, and the bed sheets had stuff on them!! I would consider renting it again if it were through somebody else!!

Sundance needs replacement appliances, furniture, and upgraded televisions! As well, it needs new carpet and furniture in the upstairs living area. Finally, it needs a good cleaning from top to bottom. The walls everywhere are loaded with dirt and drips of all kinds; the baseboards are full of dirt and grime, and the kitchen is disgusting -- cupboards dirty inside and out, the dishwasher does not clean (we had to run it multiple times for one simple load. It's nice to have a new hot tub, but that should have been just the beginning of the upgrades we hoped to find upon our return this year. Because we love Sundance, and don't want to be without a home we "like" come vacation time next year, we reserved it again in advance, However, despite having paid the advance reservation fee, we have reached out to other realtors to find us a similar home. In other words, we are willing to lose our money should something with updated features and one that is given a bit more tender loving care and cleaning become available. It was, again this year, a great disappointment to see this sweet home treated so poorly.

We had more than enough space for everyone to spread out and relax. The description of the house was accurate in all ways. It was very clean and well-maintained. The owner was very courteous on the phone with my husband called concerning one small issue. We would definitely recommend this property to our friends . We rented a week before Easter and were pleasantly surprised with the perfect weather that we had. I did not anticipate being able to sit on the beach without a sweatshirt but, it was beautiful. The beach access was right across the street and very easy with three little ones. The road that it is on was a little busier than I had imagined it would be. I would say that was the only small negative about the location. We rented a couple of beach bikes in the kiddie Cart to pull, but the road was too busy for that. We did, however, find bike trails to ride on.There were several delicious restaurants with in a couple of miles of the house. All in all, it was a wonderful vacation and we look forward to returning next year.

There's enough room for everyone on the third level plus plenty of places to go for privacy. The beds are comfortable. And the bathrooms and kitchen were very clean. The kitchen is well stocked with appliances and cookware. The location to the beach is perfect. The view is amazing and the owners are very accommodating. This was our first visit to OBX and we're planning on coming back next year!

The screened porch area off of master bedroom was not kept up, screen torn and not neat, didn’t use it. The tv remotes in all bedrooms not set properly to tv so didn’t operate correctly, no big deal. There was also a really wet musky smell in the bottom level room but again no big deal to us we didn’t use it. The home was very clean and plenty of linen. Would definitely rent again.

This home is large with plenty of space and a giant top floor living room/dining room/kitchen that was great for relaxing with friends and ocean views from the rocking chairs on the attached deck. House is also in a great central OBX location a block from a boutique coffee roaster and convenient to restaurants (Mama Kwan's is awesome), grocery stores (The Fresh Market) and seafood store (Austin's). That said the house, which appears to have changed names a number of times, is quite tired and while "clean" is top to bottom pretty old and worn. The kitchen is very sparsely furnished for cooking and not as stocked as any of the many VRBO's we have rented. Meh.
