The location

The cleanliness was appalling. We pay over $400 as a cleaning fee and it was in a terrible state. We weren’t even sure if all the beds had fresh sheets as we found hair and sand in 2 of the beds. I rang the real estate to let them know, they didn’t offer a discount or refund on the cleaning fee. The bbq had clearly never been cleaned and we spent an hour cleaning it on departure to make sure we didn’t get hit with another cleaning fee. Dirty marks, finger prints scuff marks on walls throughout, it clearly hasn’t been properly cleaned for a long time. The corners in each room, under beds and in wardrobes had been missed by the vac and mop. My son lifted his bag off the ground in his room on the last day and it was covered in dust and dirt. We found a dirty used butter knife in the drawer. They get 5 hours to clean in between guests, they do the bare minimum. We didn’t want to sit on the lounge given the obvious state of the place. Very unsanitary and grubby. Many other complaints but you get the idea. Would definitely never stay again. They need to get new cleaners who actually do their job. Ruined the experience for us. Upon returning the key I was greeted by a member of staff who didn’t smile, wasn’t friendly. Didn’t ask how our stay was.

Location was amazing .... only a few steps from the shopping village, pub, beach & surf club. Public transport right outside the door. Beds were super comfy and bathrooms big and well appointed .... same can be said for the kitchen.

Unfortunately, the bbq was very rusted inside and only 2 of the burners worked as a result. The heat dials were not to be trusted to turn off completely so a little unsafe .... naturally we turned the gas off at the bottle each time. The cleaning equipment provided for us to maintain the bbq and leave it in a clean state were below par and needed attention. The oven and cooker were amazing to use however, we were not provided with baking trays or dishes and needed to purchase foil ones to use and throw. The outdoor table and chairs were very heavy & were showing a lot of mould along the edges of the table and an outdoor lounge setting would go a long way to adding more comfort to this part of the home. We stayed for 2 weeks and were very surprised that a mid stay service was not offered/included.
