This cabin was cute and cozy but very dark. It could use better lighting or better light bulbs because even with all the lamps on it felt dark. Lamps and lights were also missing bulbs which didn't help. I also feel that the pictures make it look way better than it really is. The screened in porch was not as nice as I thought it would be but that's ok. It was more like a nice camp to me. The bed was very comfortable and the setting back in the woods was very peaceful which is what really matters most to me. There were critters but that is to be expected with a log cabin in the woods. (We didn't see them but could hear them at night) It had all the supplies you need for cooking and a nice full size fridge. Good place to stay!

A perfect pet friendly cabin in the mountains.

We checked in and immediately found that the router wasn't accessible. We made several attempts to reach management and were told they would get with the local team. The back porch has many screens that are not secure so if you have kids they can walk right off the deck. The house was no clean and there were many light bulbs out. Two days in we lost power and then lost water so had no toilet. The next morning the mice came in. I reached out to the management company and they said they do not have to guarantee me a safe environment, working toilet or a pest free facility. The Vermont STR rental code begs to differ. They offered me a $50 refund when I had to relocate my family so we could go to the bathroom.

If you really want to know give me an email address I’ll send you the pictures of mouse droppings trash outside and more.

Great cabin with an amazing view! Very quiet and secluded, just what I needed but not far at all from places in case you feel like venturing out!

Cute, classic log cabin in the deep woods. But several problems. 1) Really dirty (windows, baseboards, sticky kitchen counter, mouse droppings on the plates in the cupboard). 2) Approach is a long dirt road and then a long steep driveway, marked 'Stop--Keep Out' and 'Private Property'. We kept going anyway and found the right place but a warning would have been helpful. 3) Deferred maintenance: Ripped screens in particular. 4) Lighting was difficult--some fixtures had to be plugged and unplugged with no switches, other switches were in out of the way places, and there was not enough light for reading in several places. 5) Reference was made to putting garbage in bear boxes but we never found them.
There was garbage strewn around the property before we got there.
We DID love the screened porch but the screens were ripped in many places.

I booked this cabin fully prepared for a rustic getaway in the mountains, not expecting amenities or anything too fancy. Unfortunately, this cabin still fell short of expectations. It was tidy… but filthy. Thick dust and mouse droppings all over the place and questionable stains on the bedclothes. The tub had someone else’s bar of soap dried onto the side when we arrived. There were no instructions on where to put the compost or trash. Don’t expect any extras (like salt/pepper/oil, clean throw blankets, or extra trash bags). The second story back deck has stunning views of Mount Mansfield, but the screening is falling away, making it a huge safety hazard for folks with pets or kids. The listing includes a fire pit, but don’t count on being able to use it as it is overgrown with grass. Also, the house is very dark because many lamps don’t work; for instance, the bathroom is barely lit with only one lightbulb. Finally, the beautiful, old wooden floors are a hazard due to sharp nails sticking out all over the place. The owner has asked for guests to take their shoes off in the house, but someone needs to come through with a hammer to make sure no one rips up their feet in honoring that request. I tore multiple socks on these nails during my stay. With a deep scrubbing, some much-needed basic maintenance, and attention to the mouse infestation, this cabin could be an incredible place to stay. Unfortunately, this was not our experience.

Charming rustic cabin with a Thoreau vibe.

The cabin itself was lovely the views breathtaking just a couple of hiccups really. We had a 4 Hour drive to get to the cottage which we got to a few minutes early before check-in before four. So we left and came back at four housekeeping was still there. My husband asked how long they would be. They said about a half an hour, so we sat in our car for half an hour. Once again, the cottage is lovely but the screened in porch area. The screens many of them are completely loose blowing in the wind. The gas grill had two propane tanks. One was completely empty. The second one we were able to get one night dinner cooked and we had to go out and purchase one to be able to use the grill .

The view, the peace & quiet was exactly what we needed for our long weekend. The cabin is very rustic but cozy at the same time. It's a shame we weren't able to use the fireplace, but it's understandable the owner not wanting any issues with a fire not being properly put out. We enjoyed our time here.

Very nice cabin in the woods, we loved the close location to Stowe resort. Quiet, secluded and scenic property. Our dog loved it too.

What a beautiful cabin and breathtaking view off the porch. Close to everything with a quick drive but pure silence at night. Super cool house, would definitely come again!

The view was amazing and it was a perfect log cabin getaway that we were looking for during our girls trip!

It was very toasty warm inside the cabin. I wish we could have used the fireplace but I understand the safety issues involved. I believe you are new to opporating as a VRBO and overall your place is a gem but somethings need to be improved or tweaked.
The cleaning crew was not finished at 4:00 and we were told we would get a cleaning refund and im holding you too that.
Somethings to improve is the Wi-fi did not work. I could not hook up my computer and the TV said they were not connected. There were no coffee filters- very disappointing as I love my morning coffee. The downstairs bedroom mattress should was not very supportive. I had panic upon unlocking the door as the lock was very fickel. I had to enter the code in at least half a dozen time before it worked. We never locked it after that as we were fearful we could not get in. Oil the squeky door hinges.
Kitchen was very well stocked for cooking, baking and dishes. It would have been nice to have instructions on how to use espresso machine.
Best of luck,

I am disappointed with our stay, and I can tell you why.
1. When we arrived, NOTHING was provided to us, salt, pepper, a little oil, a few sachets of sugar and of course, coffee the next day, for the first lunch!
2. To clean our kitchen for three days, only one dishcloth…
3. No recycling containers (paper, plastic, glass, metal, cans, etc.)
4. Two extremely soft and misshapen old mattresses.
5. The bathroom depressing, none of us took a shower in 3 days!
6. The whole house was filled with dust, so much so that our daughter developed allergies (it was necessary to take medication)
7. And finally, we found a sticky mouse trap on our dog's nose, with a dead mouse next to it, and a live one that went to hide
We wrote to the Vacasa service twice, and received pre-recorded messages, no immediate help.
The only good point of this house is the magnificent view of the mountains.
You understand that at US$300 per night, this VRBO offer is unacceptable, to repeat an experience with you, we would like financial compensation or credit.
THANKS

We stayed for three nights at this cute little cabin in VT. The home was super cozy and warm with a fantastic back view and great backyard! The only hiccup we ran into was in the kitchen. If you plan to cook, be prepared to bring everything you need aside from pans. There isn’t any sharp knives, measuring spoons, cookie sheets, kitchen towels, salt and pepper, and so on. We definitely made do but would have been nice to have some better tools to work with in the kitchen. Aside from that it was a wonderful stay we would definitely stay again!

We have a wonderful time (two weeks) at the cabin. Very comfortable and quiet, and the view was outstanding - we were able to view the glorious fall colors while lounging on the screened-in porch. We heartily give our highest recommendations!

Cabin and setting just gorgeous! Screened porch with million dollar views! Surprised that it looked like someone occupies the downstairs(light was on) and lack of cleanliness. Evidence of mice everywhere and skittering that kept me up a fair part of the nights. Clean things up a bit(VERY dusty) and this would be a very enjoyable stay
