The proximity to a station was our main reason for choosing this property, plus the fact that we didn’t need to meet other people as my grandson is autistic. We were attending an assessment the following day in fact. The number of bedrooms was ideal for us, plus the independence to have meals as and when. In general the hosts did respond to questions fairly quickly.

Because we needed to travel by taxi (from 100 miles away) I found the late provision of information of location details stressful. I couldn’t book a taxi without a post code, which I had to request. That was sent fairly swiftly but nothing else, even though this was only the day before we were travelling. I was given the actual door number the afternoon we travelled. When we arrived 21a was clearly marked from the street but not 21b. Fortunately the taxi driver wouldn’t leave until he saw us open a front door. When we left we saw that the wheelie bin had ‘our’ door number on it but that it was facing away from the street. When pressed the water saver button on the toilet leaves water continuously running so both buttons had to be pressed. The chair between the fridge freezer and kitchen table is extremely wobbly. The mattresses are thin and the sofa is not very comfortable. These are partly maintenance issues and could easily be sorted. The flat suited us well enough as we arrived at 8pm and left at 8am but I would not choose it for a longer stay unless I was going out each day for a long period. It is convenient for certain types of trip.

The environment is beautiful and serene

The direction to the place was quite confusing, and information about the exact number of the guest house was sent late

The Property was close to where we were going all amenities were also very close. Booking.com were very helpful

One of the mattresses needs replacing as it felt like springs were in your back. The table was laid (badly) when we got there all the crockery was therefore dusty and we had to wash them before we could eat. The Wi-Fi didn’t work There was no bedding left for sofa bed No washing up bowl, kitchen sink plug or bathroom hand towel.
