no ac very loud at night from all the parties around so take your ear plugs!

location is good as it is close to the town and beach. Nico and the staff are very nice and welcoming

The room is very uncomfortable, it is super small, basically there is no space aside from the bed.. At night, the area becomes very noisy (parties close by and very loud barking dogs) it is hard to sleep till around 3am! The room has mosquitoes and we had to buy an electric repellent.

lovely breakfast- different each day from waffles to Costa Rican food. with fruit. great location can walk to town and the beach very easily. lots of space to relax under the room too.

I could hear some music at night but used earplugs so it was fine.

The property was amazing. It is like paradise. Super comfortable Bungalows equipped with everything you need. The breakfast was always very delicious. Also they got a super outdoor kitchen with a big grill. The pool is super as well and very refreshing after a day at the playa. The host are super friendly. We would definitely come back anytime.

The wifi in bung 1 didn’t work. Outside of the bung it worked fine.

Nico and the staff there were incredibly helpful, communicative and accommodating. The place was just perfect for me traveling alone. I felt safe and cozy in the bungalow. Area is 5 minute walk from restaurants and social life. Would definitely come again. Thank you!

There is a road you walk up which is around the corner from the bungalow. It’s very quiet and off the main road. This is a side note for woman to just be aware when walking back alone at night. I asked my friends to walk me back to be safe.

The quietness, the friendly staff , the chill out areas under the balcony , the incredible breakfasts , the WhatsApp chat incase we ever needed help / assistance, the magic tricks at breakfast !

The pool didn’t have much sun

interesting contstructiom and architecture. very sweet cleaning and cooking staff who are very helpful. pool decent but not cleaned. good breakfast.

i came to do work as a digital nomad and couldnt as the wifi signal is too week. also it was 96F during the day and the back room is soooo hot. owner not at all sympathetic or helpful - just wants your money like everyone else in costa rica, ruining a once beautiful place. also pool and my room were dirty

This was a great place to stay in Tamarindo. The small complex was an oasis in a busy tourist town. Liked the breakfast (different everyday), coffee available early, lots of closet space so you could hide all of your luggage and keep the place neat, quiet and excellent ceiling fan, small fridge, free bottled water everyday. Finally, we spent a lot of time in the pool as it was 35 degrees and up while we were there - it was a lovely refuge. Book it!

The bungalow was small, just enough room for the bed really so you will not be spending much time inside. However, the space underneath the bungalow with a daybed and hammock make up for that!

Everything was beyond my expectations. Nico and his wife, along with the rest of the staff, were incredibly friendly and helpful. The location was private and away from the noise but close enough to the action if you wanted to stay out all night. We felt incredibly safe and will definitely be staying again!

There was nothing that we did not like, everything was great the location, the staff and beyond. It was our only "adult only" hotel that we stayed at during our time in Costa Rica and it was a welcomed reprieve :)

short walk to bars and restaurants and shopping, and nice little quiet oasis at the end of the day. Nico was the perfect “hands on” owner. great breakfast that changed every day. Tree house concept was fun and Nico’s card tricks over breakfast were great.

pool was cold and because of the canopy cover it was tough to jump into as it never heated up, but nice and clean and clear and there if really needed. Rooms a bit small, but not too bad. Ceiling fan has three speeds and needed due to No Air, but again still comfy!

Perfect location to enjoy everything Tamarindo has to offer!

Nothing, it was perfect!

The place is awesome, like a little oasis in the middle of busy Tamarindo. We loved the pool, the relaxing balcony and the big palms in the property.

Our room (Tree House) didn’t have air-con which made the nights a bit loud as we had the fan on and also windows open. The down side of that was that the neighbours were very loud and we could hear the party in town. To close the windows was not as option as it was getting too hot.

The property itself is beautiful! It’s off on a side road so it is also really quiet and private, but close enough to walk downtown or to the beach. The bungalow itself was cozy and clean, and we loved using the space under the bungalow with the hammock and chair. We always had the pool to ourselves when we used it, which you won’t get at a bigger hotel. The ladies that work at the Bungalows do a wonderful job at keeping the place clean and they make a great breakfast, which is free every morning. Nico, the owner, was incredibly helpful and really accommodating. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend The Beach Bungalows!

We didn’t realize there wouldn’t be a door to the bathroom, but if my boyfriend or I needed privacy, we would just sit in the nice hangout area under the bungalow while the bathroom was occupied. There is also no AC, which we knew going into our stay, so it would get quite warm at times, but there is a ceiling fan.

Nico, the host, is very friendly and charming. He will help you out with anything thats on your mind. E.g He booked the airport shuttle for us and didnt hesitate to serve us breakfast half an hour earlier so we could have breakfast and get picked up in time. The bungalows are clean and comfy, the palm trees on the property throw a shadow onto the bungalows so they do not get heated up that much. Its a 5 minute walk from the bungalows to the beach, there is a supermarket, a lot of restaurants and a lot of surfshops on the way to the beach. We only stayed for 3nights and wished we could have stayed longer.

It was perfect in every way - the room, breakfast, swimming pool, nice owners. You can really rest there.
