Location and new

There was still the last people’s bread in the cupboard and crumbs from the toaster. The cloth for the wiping over the bench was not a new one. Also one cup and one glass had food marks in them. Only 1 teaspoon. And only 2 of the rest. A big dishwasher but not enough utensils.

Great location close to shops etc. big room, high ceilings, comfy with easy check in.

Nothing major but to note that the Floors were sticky with no way to clean and no bedside lights. If arriving at busy times parking can be hard to come across

Excellent location. Central to Manukau City and East Coast beaches. Great Asian dining options within walking distance. The bathroom toiletries are luxurious, and the apartment is very comfortable. The owner is very responsive to messages.

The apartment did not feel secure. We understand a previous tenant ended up in hospital. He left the apartment keys with a friend to collect his gear. When we arrived the keys were not in the lock box. The cleaner had just finished our room and left the door unlocked. We unpacked and settled in. The previous tenants friend let himself in unannounced. My wife was in the shower, and I’m hearing impaired. I got a shock to see the stranger. Then he wanted us to hold his friends bags. I asked him to leave, and to leave the apartment keys. He refused to leave the keys and left. My wife went shopping and I locked the door. The owner assured us a key would be left in the lock box for us. I went to bed and woke 3 hours later to my wife banging on the door to let her in. Very stressful for her and I. We did not feel secure, and kept hoarding our luggage against the door hoping it would alert us to someone entering the room while we slept. In terms of the facilities, some minor finessing would really improve the stay. You have tea/coffee facilities, but no teaspoons. You have drink glasses but no bottle or wine opener. You are provided two towels and flannels, even if you stay 4 days. It’s not enough, and you have no laundry facilities to clean them. Recommend you request extra towels with your booking for multiple day stays.

The location was great. There are lots of places to eat in very close proximity. The room was really nice. The restaurant downstairs is amazing.

The entire time we stayed, there was a constant beeping sound coming from the hallway. Unsure what it was but it was coming from a box behind the hallway door. It kept us awake as once you heard it it was hard to unhear it. Contacted the host who said the cleaners didn't hear it but when we got back to accommodation it was the first thing we heard. I sent a video to the host, who said they would get building managers to look into it. It wasn't resolved for us (probably due to it being a weekend), but hopefully for the next guest. The mobile reception and Wifi weren't great.

The electricity went off in the middle of the night

The location was very good. Comfortable. The staff replied the messages quickly.

The towels were change only when it was requested.
