Lovely friendly pub with open fire, friendly staff and home made food. Room was very comfortable. Great spot close to Bakewell.

A couple of dishes we had were very salty, we did inform the staff at the time. But overall we enjoyed the food and it was all home made and very fresh. The chef and owner was very friendly. A Larger TV in the bedroom would be a great addition 😊

Very comfortable - the room is in a converted stable block and was very big with a lovely large wet room. Plenty of storage space for clothes and good mirrors int he right places. the bed was comfortable and the bedside lighting was well thought out and not too bright. The breakfast was excellent, although the choice was limited if you didn't have full English

Better lighting outside for when you are trying to unlock the door in the dark. There were two keys - these should be labelled for the different doors

Great location with a lovely pub over the road, all staff were very helpful and friendly. We had a lovely evening meal and breakfast too. The room was very clean and cosy and the bed was comfortable too. Would definitely stay here again and have recommended to others!

Room was freezing on arrival, althoug it was -2 outsie the radaitor had ben turned off! Took a long time to re-heat

The pub itself was warm, cosy and inviting (it has recently been refurbished, and has lots of original features) The staff were so welcoming, really lovely, chatty and polite. Very helpful. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, warm, comfortable and inviting. The bed was really comfy, and the room was toasty warm in the snowy weather we had. We ate both dinner and breakfast there, and it is good, British cooking. The service was fabulous, attentive and quick, even though there was a big party in at the same time.
