We always go on a summer kayaking trip and this cabin was wonderful for this year's trip. It was clean and modern but had a lot of really unique decorations. There were lots of thoughtful touches that made it special. It was incredibly peaceful and had a nice view. We greatly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a great time at Center Hill.

We just returned from a week spent at Gray Pines Cabin and could not have hoped for a more perfect spot to stay while visiting my son and his family in Smithville! We loved morning coffee on the deck with gorgeous lake views and relaxing evenings with a glass of wine. The fabulous kitchen is stocked with everything one could think of needed to cook a fabulous meal, down to charcuterie board knives and utensils to baking supplies for a peach crisp!!
The bedrooms were comfy and cozy and the beds, dreamy! The peace and tranquillity of the cabin and its location, all the sweet little touches throughout, made the cabin the most memorable and wonderful “home away from home” and we cannot wait to return!

Our stay was perfect and we're already looking at dates to return! The decor, thoughtful touches, beautiful views, comfy seating and beds were all excellent and our hosts provided all the helpful information and guidance needed for our stay. Fabulous!!

I stayed here with two friends to celebrate a 60th birthday. The cabin is gorgeous and beautifully appointed. Each floor has its own balcony and outdoor seating area. I stayed in the bottom floor room and had a bar area, lounge, deck, office area, full laundry, and full bath with Bluetooth speaker in the shower. The kitchen is high end with ample dishes and utensils.
We enjoyed sitting together for meals in the dining room and on the deck, and hanging out in the living room. The nearby towns of Smithville and Cookville offered plenty of fun things to do and restaurants. The hosts offered great advice that made my trip planning easy. The cabin also has beautiful art and interesting books - we all order some books that we saw there online so they would be waiting for us when we got home. We also enjoyed the view and the sound of birdsong.

Very impressed with the quality and level of accommodations. Off the beaten path and private but close to many hikes and amenities. we truly looked forward to coming back to the quaint and well appointed cabin after a long day of hiking.

This cabin is immaculate, and there was no detail overlooked. From the luxurious bedding, to the technology in the bathrooms, to the amenities in the kitchen to the view from every angle, you will not be disappointed. The rooftop deck holds jaw dropping views, and we had a fantastic weekend trip with friends. The hosts were so helpful and could also run a full service travel agency based on the local recs they sent us—we were not short of things to do and places to see. We simply cannot say enough good things about Gray Pine Cabin, and we will definitely be back!

Can't say enough about how incredibly beautiful and unique this home is. It was VERY quiet and private! Country setting inside (wood stove, antique furniture). Spotless with clean bedding on super comfy mattress. Upstairs bedroom walks out to balcony with propane fire pit. We slept with doors open. Bathtub and shower is beautiful with plenty of hot water. You can watch the sunrise or sunset off of the balconies.
Short drive down a gravel road 100 yards.
Nearby ate at Patty's Restaurant - little ma and pa eatery. Excellent food! Went to see NUMEROUS waterfalls- Fall Creek Falls State Park, Burgess Falls, Rock Island State Park, Twin Falls, Window Cliff Falls - all within 20-60 min drive and WELL worth the scenery!!!!!!!!!! There were so many more we didn't get a chance to see.
If you're wanting to chase waterfalls, watch sunrises or sunsets and stay in a secluded, private, quiet, rustic home- THIS is your gem !!!!!!!!!!!
