The hotel was waaayyyyy better than I had expected. It was super nice and clean. It was loud outside most nights so if u want peace and quiet it may be a bit much at times. The elevator was broken so we didnt get to enjoy the pool bc the steps were too scary to walk up and down again. Definitely would recommend and stay here again

I cannot say enough about how wonderful our stay was at Hotel La Casa Gobernador. The room was elegant and beautifully appointed. The bathroom and amenities were 5-star. The bed was super comfortable and the room size was splendid. All of that, and the most wonderful part of the friendliness, the attentiveness, and the assistance of all the staff members. They treated us as if we were the most important guests and I am sure they treated the other guest the same way. We have stayed at the "big name" hotels in Cartagena, and this boutique hotel outshines them all. We will be returning and we are already recommending this hotel to our friends here in Colombia and in the US.

This hotel was beautiful. We were on the 1st floor close to the street, my only complaint was early more or really late night noise from the street. Not really the hotel's issue. The staff was very friendly. Most everything is within walking distance. The breakfast was included and good. The rooms are fairly large and comfortable. Would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

Excellent propriety and beautiful. I give 4 star in condition only due the elevator was not working. But the personal is so nice . Very friendly and cooperative.

It’s a great property on a nice location. But I booked a design suite, arrived at 1.30 pm. Room not ready (normal). Ready after 3 pm so I went in the city to have lunch. Came back at 3.30, received the key and guess what? Room was still occupied with clothes, suitecases, not cleaned. After an hour they gave me another (normal) room. Above that the rooftop pool is empty, bar not open, elevator doesn’t work. Got nof compensation other than a (nice) drink. So overall not at all what I paid for € 435,- a night!

This is a small "Boutique" Hotel. Cartagena itself, is a walk through World History, and this Hotel dates to the early 16th Century, with every space having some significance. Well executed and worth a visit.

The location was excellent. We were greeted by the most welcoming staff. The courtyard, dining area, two bars and pool area were beautiful and so clean. Even though the streets can be loud, we felt out room was quiet. The rooms were so comfortable and very nice as well. The bed was so comfortable after a long day of sight seeing. We only stayed 4 days but the staff knew us very well and were incredibly accommodating. The complimentary breakfast was delicious! We would definitely stay here again.

Hotel Casa del Gobernador is cosy, clean, and the staff is friendly and welcoming.

Although this boutique hotel is in the walled city, you don’t hear exterior noise so you’ll sleep well. This is a gorgeous property with excellent customer service, friendly, professional staff, and a great location! We will definitely return!

Antonio at reception was absolutely such a rockstar to work with. He was so friendly polite and respectful. He made sure our experience was nothing less than perfection, and was also very flexible with us when we ran a bit late during our check out. Would definitely stay here again :)
