This was an economy minded plain jane hotel. It was very clean, outstanding service and friendly staff. Furthermore, it was k9 friendly. Plenty of info available on community and local activities. Located in the heart of the town. The staff was always friendly, responsive and helpful. Just ask, if possible, they get it done...with a smile! Our second time staying there. Never disappointed.

What a great place. My stay was last minute, with a late night check in. I was greeted with smile & great kindness for this exhausted traveler. The room was very clean & the bed very comfortable. I, unfortunately left an item behind. I called the next day, as they were trying to contact me about my item. Now we're arranging for it's return. Absolutely amazing customer service!!! Felt like family! I will definitely be coming back...

The staff was very friendly; the bed was extremely comfortable. I slept well. The inn is by the busy PCH so expect to hear traffic at all hours, bring earbuds. The room had definitely been smoked in which I didn’t love but I was just there to sleep and the inn is 1/2 a mile from the beach and 15 miles from an amazing Redwood forest! Worth it!

Our two night stay far exceeded our expectations! The Managers and staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our room was very spacious, clean and included a mini refrigerator and small microwave which was very convenient in heating up leftovers and midnight snacks. The price was extremely affordable and the location was ideal. The beach was literally across the street which offered bike trails and easy access. This motel was dog friendly and provided dog bags to clean up after. If you’re on a budget, this is an excellent option. I highly recommend!

Great people to deal with. Clean rooms and property.

This used to be a Motel 6, and it looked every bit like one. Had we known more about the property appearance and location, we would have never selected this hotel. The front desk staff were nice but unprofessional...they said my room number out loud twice in front of passersby, and with multiple homeless/unsavory looking people walking through the property, staying there and just hanging in the parking lot, it added to the unsafe feeling. Never again.

rehabed motel 6. overall decent, loud noise above until midnight. remodeling?

It’s like the saying “lipstick on a pig.” Some of the stuff in the room was newer, but the walls were dirty, the sink faucet was wiggly and the towel holders were broken. Three of the four towel were dirty. Homeless people were hanging out by the stairwell.

Property look newly painted inside and out. Room was clean could’ve used a hairdryer and a coffee pot. But other than that, very satisfied with our stay. The front desk girl was absolutely amazing. She helped us beyond words.

The room was clean and suitable for a night stay. However on the lobby, there are multiple signs of removing valuables from your car, as well as signs in your room. There are people passing through the parking lot since it is located on the main road.

Do not stay here. This is basically a Motel 6. The shower was leaking, the facilities were rundown, and on top of it being an overall downmarket place there was a post it of a weird drawing left on the INSIDE of the door of the room we checked into. We got out of there and got somewhere else and they refused to refund us.

Super helpful and friendly attendant, fast and efficient check in. Rooms a little loud, but clean.

Basic, but clean and comfortable. Our go- to when staying in Crescent City. The beach is across the street. Great Thai restaurant next door, as well.

Property is a re-modeled Motel 6. Staff was friendly, hotel /motel was clean enough. Beds were new but sucked.
Neighborhood made me want to leave the area and the whole state of California. I was in fear of my safety and the safety of my grandchildren. I have to say, despite the good things the owners are doing to make the “hotel” workable, the drug infested neighborhood will drive away their customers. This is what it’s like when politicians ruin public safety.. bring a personal defense device… if the laws will let you

Location was close to the bay which was nice. Not a bad spot to travel to and from Redwood NP. Downsides is that it's on a very busy and loud street and you can definitely hear the people above you.
Parking is also tight.

Limited and tight parking.
The room was tidy. The floors were dirty, swept not washed. Bathroom no tub, shower dripped and was leaking onto floor. Toilet never stopped running. Bathroom door was an obvious bad repair to someone putting fist or foot through it. Coulf hear every conversation in surrounding rooms

Lots of security cameras but definitely felt like they were needed. Traveling with bikes locked on the car, felt the need to bring them in. Lots of people wondering around that looked pretty down on their luck and making bad choices.

Prior Motel Six. No hair dryer in room. TV had 12 channels: ESPN, CSPAN, HGTV. Fine location, safe, comfortable bed. Nothing more. Won’t be staying there again.

This was a clean, comfortable room and close to an RV park where my son and his wife and kids stayed. It was close to dining and shopping.

This motel is quite literally a Motel 6 just with a new name. Had I known that I would've never reserved it. It was so beyond less than clean, to the point my feet were black walking without shoes IN the room. Everything was very old, not taken care of and severely run down. It is right on the main street into town, which meant it was crawling with transients and what I can only assume are either dealing with mental health issues or high on drugs, from how they acted. My husband even had a guy come up to him and pull out his "finger gun" and ask where his side arm is. Super crazy people and area. I hardly slept because of the constant activity happening outside and fear for my car. We got out of there as soon as we could in the am. Definitely do not recommend, especially if you have kids. Not a safe area at all. The only positive part was that the front desk lady was very sweet and helpful.

Our stay at Beacheside Inn went well.
Overall the rooms were clean, modern, and freshly painted. Good to note there is limited hanging space if that’s something you need. The staff are friendly and helpful. Our room key got buried in a bag on the very first night, ugh, and we couldn’t find it so we called the front desk and they quickly brought us a spare keycard directly to the room. (Of course the key was found while packing up and returned)
A few downsides for our stay, we traveled with kids and they do not offer adjoining rooms, though they did accommodate us to be door to door which was greatly appreciated. Sadly for one of our rooms we had a dirty floor towel that had shoe prints on it, a dirty shower curtain and a really noisy a/c unit. Also the pictures don’t reflect that you are on the corner of busy streets in the older downtown area of the city with a bus stop and city park directly across the street which causes a bit of an unsafe feeling during your stay especially if traveling with children.
Bonus tip… if you get the chance, visiting Norris family kitchen is a must. It has amazing food (the smash burgers are incredible) staff, and it’s close by.

This was an animal friendly but there was no place to take the dog ,in our case , potty. No grass area. Bed was really hard. But the front desk & cleaning crew were very courteous.

This property was well maintained. The beds were a little uncomfortable but not shabby for the price. Its within walking distance of the beach and Seaquake. The parking kinda sucked just because there were more cars than rooms. Overall it was a good stay we will definitely book with them again.

Very affordable and the managers are super. My pet and I were arriving in the middle of the night and they were willing to accommodate us. So kind and easy to communicate with. Room worked just fine for a quick sleep before heading to the big trees!

We stayed for one night and didn't get much sleep because of street noise and feeling unsafe...guy was arrested at the motel across the street.

Don’t let the photos fool you- this place is bare bones and run down. The freezer had long black hairs in it, the bed had hair and nearly every towel my family used had a stain or a hair. It almost became a joke about the hair. The showers a very dingy and small, there’s no hair dryer, coffee pot nor iron in the room. There were gross stains on the walls too. If you’re downstairs you can hear the people above you and next you. The only saving grace for this motel is that both staff members I interacted with were wonderful.
