Right security, that was great! No air conditioning or deliberately put it to malfunctioning, needs fresh air or smells around, no sufficient ventilation in the rooms or the one I was. However, there is room for improvement.

All went very smooth and staff was helpful
Room was very small for three people but our 4 year old just fit on the small sofa chair so we made it work

Bathroom was dirty, which is not usual in this hotel. It is always very clean. Shower and walls black with moist.

Stayed here for a week. Really good bar and restaurant. However, the rooms are not very good. Average. Friendly staff.

I have arrived at night. Long time to check me in after a flight of about 7 hours although there was only me at the reception. Bathrooms are like since 1800 and I entered the floor is all wet(there is leak with this old equipment) and the cooler was as if it wasn't cooling so I was sweating at night therefore didn't sleep well, no free water to drink , no hand tissue available, the toilet is terribly placed in the bathroom, not enough space to sit well... The only good things about it are food, location (security and near all) and mainly friendly staff.

After 15 minutes waiting was forced to take taxi. Arriving at Ibis Hotel Douala around 1:00 am clerk claimed computer issues, overbooked hotel, no rooms available anymore!! Made me transfer to different hotel, arriving there around 2:00 am! Finally getting my room and slept just before 3:00 am. Next day business meetings, i.e. not what you expect from Ibis Hotel and booking thru Hotel.com. Worst experience and timing - will next time book different hotel.......

Ibis hotel DOUALA always an enjoyable stay center location great outside seating are by the pool which is kept to a high standard. Great AC throughout the hotel. Lastly very helpful staff.

Olivia Nankam, the hotel concierge, did an excellent job of organizing a tour guide and driver for the time I spent in Cameroon. She also was a tremendous help when I had to spend an extra night in Douala because Cieba Intercontinental cancelled my flight without notice. Also, Thomas, the Hotel’s airport shuttle driver, went out of his way to make my stay an enjoyable one. Both Olivia and Thomas are to be complimented for their excellent service.
