Comfy hotel close to city centre. Room was clean and recently decorated. Pool area was small but nice treat after shopping. Would stay here again.

We visited the bar for a coffee on a quiet Thursday afternoon. I waited 1/2 hour for two coffees, and one was unpalatable. We didn’t risk it a second time during our stay.
The restaurant was ok. Food was nice.
Throughout the hotel it seemed to be staffed with very young members of staff. From reception, bar, restaurant and house keeping staff. They seemed to lack experience or the knowledge of how to be personable. I’d say slightly robotic and reading from a script.
The room was described as a Classic Double room. This felt like a storage room. Bigger than a cupboard though.
House keeping were by far the friendliest.
There wasn’t a window. Just a roof light. So you only knew if it was night or day. Raining or not. This meant unfortunately you needed lights on during the day. A waste of energy perhaps. It was ok though. Two of the lights didn’t work.
If you wanted fresh air at all, that wasn’t going be possible.
We did wonder if there had been a fire and you were unable to leave through the corridor, your only option would be to stay and wait for rescue through the room door. We know how that can work out!
Next year when we come back for the fantastic Christmas Market. We would stay here again. But only after we’ve looked at all the other options first.
Last note.
Cleanliness.
Generally it looked and gave you a feeling of being ok. Some of the corners of the ceilings which had quite well established cobwebs forming and the odd mirror with finger prints.

Hotel was very nice, room was comfortable, very warm but a little tired. Sink plug hole wasn’t working and wouldn’t hold water in sink. Turning on the shower left a sewage smell in the bathroom. Breakfast very nice with a good selection. We would stay again.

Clean, nice room. However extremely thin walls and ceilings made the stay very very noisy. Also a couple of staff members weren't particularly friendly, and not the most welcoming compared to other places we've previously stayed. Bed was quite uncomfortable.

Stay was perfectly fine, Spa was nice but we didn't eat in the hotel so cannot comment on food and drink service.
Staff were friendly and everything was clean and tiday in the hotel.
On-premise EV charger was broken when we arrived but i called the company and they rebooted it for me. I was then able to charge the car OK.

As a person who lives out of hotels , I expect the basics, and thi one failed on my first and last visit. Th priority of ther hotel seems to be the events and notthe overnight guests, Could not get a table to eat as the restraunt on site was too busy on the first night, afer being told i need to book . .... before I arrive. I must say with 5 people and multiple empty tables I found this unnaceptable, it sems understaffing was the issue, afer being told to book in again in hour, 2 hours later was informed at 9:30 chef was finished, thats was the final straw , Fawlty Towers springs to mind. On a positive my following nights were considerably better, but i believe this was to avoid a poor review. Rooms clean and comfortable.

Arrived and on nearing the entrance to our room two take away boxes of pizza and some other smelly foods greeted us outside our room. In entering the room and using the toilet we found the toilet to be broken. We immediately notified reception who said someone would be there to fix it and to remove the smelly take away boxes and left overs from the night before we assume. We went to the spa for a swim to return and nobody had been. On leaving for our evening meal away from the hotel I asked again at reception for someone to fix the toilet and remove the rubbish. We returned from our meal to find the boxes and left overs still there and the toilet broken making a noise that woke us up through the night. They simply didn’t care! At breakfast trying to cut into our food we found the knives were so worn there were no teeth left to cut into the food so struggling to cut things up. Honestly very frustrating and we had given up on telling anyone. Receptionist took £50 off but still had to pay a huge amount for a mediocre room and low standards. Location was good that’s all I can say.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. Despite having trouble contacting the hotel before arriving (phone lines ringing with no answer multiple times), we loved our stay and spa experience. We booked the espa facials which were amazing and the staff in the spa were all very helpful and friendly. The treatment rooms could do with a slight refurbishments as some of the lights were broken etc. The breakfast options were great and food tasted hot and fresh. Room was spacious and comfortable with a great shower and extras like hairdryer etc, it was a little cold at night so definitely bring some warm pyjamas. We will definitely stay again!

Comfortable room well appointed, nice ambience in the main hotel clean and modern. Leisure centre was great and a good addition to the hotel facilities. Food was good ate in the evening good selection on the menu. Breakfast food was provided and a great selection for all tastes.

The shower drainage was slow and left sitting water that smelt. They tried to fix it but not perfect. As we only had 2 days left we didn't bother to say anything. Everything else was perfect.

The hotel is in the middle of Winchester and easy to find. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the atmosphere in the hotel was lovely. The lighting in the bedroom was surprisingly low which would be great if you were on a romantic break!
The spa was lovely and we enjoyed using all the facilities. We were a bit disappointed with the cushions on the sun loungers, know of which were very clean but overall a very pleasant stay.
