Very nice, modern decor in the room. Modern flat screen TV, large bathroom vanity and mirror. Management has thought carefully about the property. Example--iron and ironing board in the room in addition to the hair dryer. The breakfast area was very clean as was the entire site.

Both stairwells had men (staff?) just sitting in the stairwells talking on cell phones for a very long time. It wasn't disruptive or threatening, but just seemed... odd. On the positive side, the room was clean and the towels were extra fluffy.

A last minute trip with hubby- lucky to find a place in Tawas. Pleasantly surprised about every aspect of our 2 night stay and we typically stay at higher end hotels. it was comfortable, quiet, clean, updated. Our only issue was with the TV remote, and card keys not working in far entrance. Helpful front desk staff. Might suggest if going with the auto dispensers for soaps, they work to dispense better/more. Thanks.

There was no maid service. If you wanted clean towels, you had to bring your dirty towels to the front desk. The beds and pillows were very hard. The bed linens and towels were very worn. I would have expected much more from a hotel charging over $200 per night.

Trip was to visit old friends and places we enjoyed when we lived in the area several years ago. We found the Bay Inn was a perfect fit for us.

Great continental breakfast. Quiet enough. Very convenient. Cons: found insect bugs (not bed bugs) in daughter’s bed. She killed one and it smeared green guts on the sheet. I mean. We’re up north so….do what ya gotta do. But. I could do without the bugs.

Our bathroom definitely needed some love. The tub had weird spots as if someone started to refinish it but didn’t. The ceiling fan was poorly put in and had tissue sticking out of it to fill in the gaps. The toilet handle was by far the weirdest and made me nervous it was going to overflow anytime you flushed it. Mostly cosmetic but for $200 a night I would expect it to look less like a motel. Breakfast was not great. The Nutella packets they had our expired in February of 2024. The cereal was stale. We opted to get our own the next day. Very basic options for breakfast and most items were out. Overall stay was okay, but I’ve stayed here before and it definitely wasn’t as disappointing last time which was why I chose this over others but I may be exploring options soon.

Check in was greeted by a very lively person who answered all of our questions! She was extremely a sunshine and positive person to welcome us! She was knowledgeable about the area. This morning she was sunshine again and helpful again!
