Nice pub style restaurant nice clean comfy room

Had such a lovely stay and will make this my go to spot in Inverness! I arrived quite late due to train delays and they couldn’t have been less bothered. Fixed me up something to eat in the bar and restaurant downstairs (which is excellent) straight away. My room was so comfortable and fully of lovely treats. The large bath was divine and the shower had excellent water pressure (a rarity when traveling!). The location is a 4 minute walk from the train station and proximal to great places to eat, enjoy live music, see historic sites, and take the train or bus to wherever you want to go beyond walking distance.

Really beautiful renovated property. Rooms well appointed with so many wonderful touches like complimentary savoury and sweet snacks. We were staying her under sad circumstances… the staff were so attentive and caring.

Beautiful room and well appointed. Lovely pub with quintessential pub food. Great for post day pints. Staff was wonderful. If you’re in Inverness it’s worth every penny or farthing rather.

Great little place in a great location in Inverness! The staff was excellent and the rooms were clean and well appointed. Lots of shops and restaurants right outside the door. I would definitely stay here again!

Because we missed our connecting flight we were going to miss the check in window. I called and was assured someone would wait for me until I arrived.
Which they did. The bed was so comfortable that we got our much needed rest.

Rooms were located above the Black Friars pub. It was a unique experience. The pub had great live music and food.
The room was great, very roomy the bed was very comfortable.
Th area was surrounded by restaurants and shopping. Parks and the river were very close by.
There was a public parking lot a couple blocks away.

We had a wonderful stay at the BlackFriar’s. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was lovely with nice touches like a basket in the room with local snacks. The bathroom shower and tub were top notch. This was by far the nicest option in town for the price. Great location near everything and a short walk from the train as well as the bus station and supermarkets.

I do not understand the 10/10 reviews here. Very disappointed.
Not a hotel. Rooms above a pub. No desk. Waitress gives you a key for your room in the pub. Pub shares same small entrance as stairwell to the rooms.
No service overnight. No customer service if there’s an issue.
No view.
You can hear all your neighbors doing everything all night long, as well as all the noise and traffic from the street.
Stuffy. Small desk fan. No convenient place to plug in. Can’t open windows because of the constant noise.
Would not recommend if you’re looking to sleep or be comfortable.

Great location, very easy to utilize train and bus and very close to the tour pick ups, nice rooms not handicapped accessible just as fyi - pub was great views from rooms not so much

No one on site after-hours for issues… such as the banging on our door and jiggling of our door handle for most of the night and early morning! Was it a ghost or a drunk patron? No idea, but it certainly impacted the quality of sleep we got that night!

Very pleasant room, friendly and helpful staff. Pub downstairs had good food and lovely ambiance. Was unsure at first staying above a pub as I was travelling with my child, but it felt comfortable and safe.

We absolutely loved this hotel, it's small and quaint. super clean and connected to a restaurant and bar. Staff was awesome and I would def recommend this hotel. Our stay was awesome and its in walking distance to the bus station and city centre for shopping and dining.
