I was so unsatisfied and upset with this hotel that out of my 5 night stay I ended up staying 1 night and asked for a refund for the other 4! (I had to book a last min hotel nearby) So I didn't get the room I booked through Expedia, they gave me a 1 bed when I had booked a 2 double bed, we were a family of 4. As soon as you walk in the room it's HOT inside - they don't turn the AC on for you prior to your arrival, and please keep in mind it's Playa del Carmen= heat & Humidity at high levels!! They only provide ONE roll of toilet paper so if you run out you have to wait until they clean your room or you can ask the front desk. Not enough towels!!! And the showers are built a little weird that water comes out and wets the floor. Also the sink is built weird so expect water to drip out from the bottom. The rooms are smaller than what is show in the pic, and the lighting is veryyyy dim in the rooms! Just be careful when booking this property, if you're looking for a couple honeymoon thing I guess it could work? But if it were me there are nicer hotels at roughly the same price. Definitely not family friendly, and last but not least THERE IS NO ELEVATOR. We got a room on the 3rd floor and we had quite a few luggage, so it was a pain...I wish I would have read the reviews. I'm so not a negative person, but this time I truly had to write this review because it was just too much. Hope my review helps.

Super disappointing.
I booked two nights to stay here in May.
When I arrived the place was under reconstruction for the pool and no facilities were available- NO POOL in summer!
I expressed my disappointment and the manager said he will refund me 1 night if I stay one night. I agreed and gave them a hand written complaint AND my bank details. I have been chasing the refund for the second night for months!! Now they are ignoring my messages and I haven’t received anything. Do not stay here.

Very Safe hotel.
Everything you need is within walking distance.
The only issue is that the towels get changed every three days.
Otherwise I will definitely recommend it.

The location was excellent. The hotel and room was nice once every thing is done. Now some of the amenities was sub par.

We booked the master suite but it was average at best. The room needs modernising in-terms of decoration and furniture.
The room had 2 balconies but both were very small. One of the patio doors wouldn’t open until maintenance repaired it. The other lock on the patio door was broken.
The room didn’t come with any basic facilities ie hairdryer, coffee maker or iron although it did have a safe.
There was a hammock in the room which completely split the room in half, you either had to stride over it or climb under it to get to the bathroom. The hammock couldn’t be taken down.
There is a full glass bathroom door so there is no privacy whatsoever.
The location of the hotel is great and directly on 5th Ave. With that said it is directly above Bar Loco which plays loud music until 2AM and is very loud in the room even with all patio doors shut.
The staff were helpful apart from the fact that at check in we were informed that breakfast was included. The following day we were told it wasn’t included but as far as I could see there was not a dining facility at the hotel!! The hotel also has no elevator.
All in all I would say if you have children then I would not recommend the hotel due to the noise.

I really love the aesthetic of this property. The staff were extremely hospitable and very kind. They made me feel at home. The area is also very convenient as it is in the middle of the busier street with all the fun, parties, restaurants, shopping centres. It was very easy to go back home to change or grab something and then head back out to go in with my day. I couldn’t have imagined a better place to stay at for this trip and would definitely look at coming back again in the future!

I really love the aesthetic of this property. The staff were extremely hospitable and very kind. They made me feel at home. The area is also very convenient as it is in the middle of the busier street with all the fun, parties, restaurants, shopping centres. It was very easy to go back home to change or grab something and then head back out to go in with my day. I couldn’t have imagined a better place to stay at for this trip and would definitely look at coming back again in the future!
