However, Ho’Olei has its own pool, gym and poolside massage service so you don’t necessarily need to go over to the big hotel and deal with the larger crowds unless you have small kids that really want a waterslide and lazy river experience. You can use the public beach without staying at the main hotel or staying through the hotel booking. If using the hotel amenities is not a priority then you may get more cost-effective options staying at the privately owned villas. Wailea is a beautiful part of the island and close to Kihei town for shopping for essentials and lots of hole in the wall seafood, poke, and diner food joints. The aquarium is only 20 minutes away, the airport 30, Lahaina and Kaanapali 35 minutes. Beautiful home with all the amenities we wanted; comfortable beds, extra clean, gorgeous view, and easy access to the Grand Wailea and beach! We felt very safe with our covid travel; strict precautions taken by Ho’olei and social distancing was easy. We will definitely return to Ho’olei

The villa was really nice overall. However for the cost - would have expected the furnishings to be in better shape and a complete set of dishes. The master bedroom and living room were in need of updating.

Had a wonderful week at the condo. Stunning view. Staff feel like family. Room service is great. Watching sunset at sea right from the balcony. Hotel provides more than what we need to enjoy the beach and the stay.

Great views and spacious condo with everything you need. Convenient shuttles to and from the Grand Wailea with access to all of the resort amenities.

Overall experience was amazing. I have one big complain is that the restrooms by the pool at the Grand Wailea were disgusting. Really dirty constantly. Super bad smell. Really bad. And every one in our party (we were 7 families) we all had the exact same complain. They need to put AC in those bathrooms and clean them way more often.

The location was great but its not as close to the beach as you might think. The shuttle service was wonderful and the drivers were all friendly and helpful. The Villa was really nice but we did have a bug issue our first night and it was handled promptly. It felt like home, very cozy rental with lots of space for our family of 5.

The unit was clean and very well appointed. We had a villa on the top row of the complex in cluster 75. The views from the lanai were spectacular, especially at sunset! Shuttle service to the Grand Wailea was very convenient, as were access to the pool/towel facilities over there.

Villa was great at Ho'olei. Except for the lizard and mouse we spotted, staff immediately took care of it. Definitely need a car to get around and everything closes early on the island. The pools and beach are awesome at the Grand Wailea. Food and drinks there are expensive so we took our own. They charge for chairs and umbrella on beach and cabana's. The pool and chairs at the Ho'olei pool are good and peaceful, they even provide a fridge to store your own cold drinks in, sauna and steam room also included.
