Older property but well kept and clean. Nice big rooms and comphy beds. Doesn't have aminities like breakfast or other chain hotel perks. Great place to stay and sleep. Has an outdoor fire pit and pool. Staff was super friendly and helpful will definitely stay again.

My husband and I have been coming to the smokies at least once a year since 2021. This is the most pleasant stay we’ve had. I can’t say enough about how great the Townsend Gateway inn was. They greeted my dog at check in with a biscuit so he also sends a five star review. We stayed in cottage 1 and can’t wait to come back!

The room air conditioner was noisy, leaked water all night long and never made it down to 69 degrees. Morning staff was indifferent about it and our experience saying they’d fix it. Bedding was not very nice, room needed a deep cleaning- especially bathroom. Close to park entrance, there are other motels that are probably equivalent that are closer. Be aware that one person’s 5 star is another’s 2-3.

The people who worked on the office were very nice and always helpful. The rooms were very clean. Its the perfect area and location. Easy access to Cades Cove, Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge.

This was our second time staying in this motel and we plan to stay again next year! Really nice place to stay in townsend. Owners are very nice, the rooms are big, clean and comfortable. The view is nice, we love the rocking chairs outside of the rooms. We enjoy the large outdoor pool and the patio area with bags where our family can hang out when we have some downtime. It is simple to get in and out of the room as we can park right in front of our room door. The gift bags are so nice! They really make us feel welcome. We also enjoy staying in townsend because it truly is the quiet side of the smoky mountains. However, it is not too far from gatlinburg, if you did want to visit the busy side. Townsend isn't too far from cades cove, the sinks, laurel falls etc. Lots to do and see nearby. This year we decided to try the river rats tubing adventure. This is located in townsend and was a lot of fun. We went with the relaxed outpost with less rapids.

The cabin was very nice. It had a queen bed and a futon sofa bed. The futon was thick and very comfortable. The cabin was perfect for 4 people.

Check in was super smooth with no issues and added goodie bag! Room was mostly clean aside from some dust bunnies here and there on a hardwood floor. Beds and furniture were clean. Updated and cold A/C was much appreciated. Location to Tail of the Dragon, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg was perfect. Property was well maintained. Neighbors were very friendly. Area was quiet. My only gripe would be swapping out the futon for an actual couch - it was pretty uncomfortable to sit on.
