When we arrived to the hotel, we told them we wanted to use a different card than the one we booked. They were fine with that. However, they charged the card that we used to book two days in a row for the price of the room and the new card for the total price of the room for two nights. Did the same to my daughter. We got to our room, there was trash in there. Obviously not cleaned completely. We called to the front desk and were told there was nothing that could do. The next day we were out all day, came back to our room at around 7 pm…my room and my daughter’s room was never cleaned. Called down to the front desk and was basically told there was nothing they could do about it because everyone was gone. I asked to speak to a manager and the lady said he was gone for day. However, while going to my room on the third floor I saw him. I spoke to him about what happened and he was nice, but had no clue that any of this had happened. When we checked out, after my credit card company cut off my card because of the reoccurring charges, the manager did discount our room. We would have gone elsewhere after the first night but it was college move in day and all hotels in the area were booked.

I have been in IHG hotels all over the world and never have to deal with this nonsense! Perfect excuse to do the bare minimum! Not a low cost hotel to have such a poor service. Very disappointing.

I was shocked how nice the hotel was for such an affordable price. Area around the property is not walkable at all and it takes a while to get to downtown Auburn.

The room was well cleaned, there were more amenities in the room and bathroom than other hotels. A hair dryer that is not attached to a wall, wall thermastat for exact temp control, and i liked the Dove shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided in the shower. My head sunk into the pillows because so soft and fluffy. The breakfast was grab n go and it did not disappoint. When I have a future hotel stay, Ill be looking for an Avid IGH hotel.

I take frequent road trips to visit children at University and family around the South and stay at various hotels. The Avid hotel in Auburn was by far the nicest, cleanest, well appointed hotel I have stayed in in recent years. Reception was super friendly and check in was easy. We arrived late evening and were exhausted and were so pleased to find the room spacious with large beds, comfortable pillows and bedding. Avid’s breakfast options were superb- with lots of options- muffins, fresh fruit, yogurts, egg sandwiches, assorted juices and delicious coffee. Best we have been offered in years. We would absolutely stay here again and high praise to the Avid Auburn staff for a lovely overnight stay.

We stayed over night on our way home to Texas. It was very comfortable and I booked this hotel because it was right by our favorite stop….Bucee’s ha ha ha ha.
