Very enjoyable experience in all ways. Kim was a welcoming and wonderful host and inn keep. Intend on staying here again next time we're in the area. Loved the newly created (early 2000s) but intentionally older looking federal style build and architecture. The only slightly negative I can think of is you can hear your upstairs/downstairs neighbor walking around or talking in anything higher than a regular volume but they have "quiet hours" and have done all they can to accommodate that issue. As I said, doesn't change my thoughts at all about staying at this B&B in the future.

Great stay food was amazing and workers are so kind

This is a lovely inn with very hospitable staff. Breakfast had numerous choices and was delicious. The location was perfect for walking around downtown. Would love to return.

Kim and Addison were wonderful hosts. Compass Rose has cozy and beautiful indoor and outdoor space. Within walking to the wharf park, lots of shopping and eating places to explore. Central to a lot of New England. Newburyport is a charming town!

Great location, walking distance to everything. Allows us a zero stress gateway with off street parking, three room suites, common areas for socializing and private area with the fireplace. We bring extra duraflame logs.

The innkeeper Kim was as sweet as could be - very accommodating to our needs. Put out treats in the evening and a delicious breakfast in the morning. She is truly an asset to the inn! Our room was clean and very comfortable - we will definitely be back!

The Compass Rose Inn checks most of the boxes. Location is excellent. Rooms are very clean. Inn keeper and staff are friendly, helpful, great people. Unfortunately, the suites are not well isolated from the sounds of the other guests. Foot traffic overhead and muted voices along with plumbing all contribute to a lack of privacy. Surprisingly this house is newer construction and was built for the purpose of a B&B. Perhaps the noise intrusion is part of the B&B experience and should be expected, so my expectations may be skewed. Unfortunately, I probably would not stay here again.
