This is my new go to spot for San Diego. My significant other and I traveled to San Diego to be in a wedding, and we ended up staying 5 nights at this location. I don’t think I could have chosen a better place to stay. If you’re flying in the hotel is close to the airport and car rental facility. We were able to do an early check-in with no problem or fees and while we waited for the room to be ready we just went to Liberty Union Food Market which has dozens of options to choose from as far as restaurants and food stands go. Our rooms were cleaned every other day as we had requested. The Starbucks and the bar on grounds were both great and the bartender had some great suggestions for drinks like a Coconut Lime Margarita. If you’re worried about hearing airplanes taking off while on your room I can assure you, you will not. Now once you’re outside that’s a different story but we slept like babies every night in our king sized bed. The pool and hot tub were very nice after a long day of wandering around the San Diego zoo. There’s three restaurants near the propert I have to recommend, The Fig Tree Cafe for breakfast, The Golden Egg for breakfast, and the sushi restaurant right near The Golden Egg. Once again, pick this place and the price won’t be any better anywhere else for the quality.

Good hotel - the area it’s in was actually a brilliant place to stay with nice walks along the coast. There are lots of nearby food options and a great breakfast place nearby (fig tree cafe) and there’s a big food market - liberty market not too far away. Lot of parking, good self serve washing machines / dryers, friendly staff, nice area. It’s an Uber ride to most places in San Diego but San Diego is so stretched out that it didn’t matter. Felt really safe around the hotel compared to downtown. Pool area was a bit random - wasn’t sure if anyone could use the pool from outwith the hotel although we didn’t actually have any issues. Would definitely return to this hotel.
