After 2 nights, we had to change rooms as we could not sleep due to a very loud cricket in the air conditioner. The staff were friendly enough to help us switch rooms, which had a nice little view of the ocean next to the PCH. We did go from a King Bed (new bathroom) to a Queen Bed (old bathroom), but it was ok, better than the first room as we had no natural light coming in. Location was good, easy to walk to nearby coffee shops and straight across the road was the ocean. Downfall - You have to pay for parking downstairs which really should be included in the price of your stay. The carpark was empty! Being international tourists, we parked on the street, finding a free park a block up and ended up getting a $60 parking ticket. Staff were friendly, place was somewhat renovated but still kinda dated.. photos make it look better than it was. Probably paying for the location more than anything.

Trenton checked us in and was especially friendly and helpful. We heard early morning construction, hammering, drilling etc. next to our room, but overall it was a pleasant stay. Staff onsite were gracious and very attentive, providing extra towels and toiletries when needed. We'll be back again.

The only reason to stay here is because of location. This room was so deep in the basement that there was 0 light and no cell phone service - the phones were literally on SOS. The wifi at the property does not work well, so despite staff efforts to give alternative options, we could not connect our cell phones to the wifi and basically had to deal with having no connectivity to the outside world when in the room. This did not feel safe nor did it make it easy or comfortable to do/schedule/communicate with anyone or anything. Additionally, the floors were really dirty, you can't walk barefoot and coming out of the shower left literally black prints all over the floor. I wouldn't stay here or recommend it.

Very safe for a 28 year old solo traveler. Visiting laguna for the first time and this location is the perfect location to access the beach and transportation.

It’s nothing the hotel did or didn’t do. I felt like Expedia showed the hotel to be something a little more upscale. I was expecting a little more upscale and I cannot stand bare vinyl floors. Everything sticks to your feet. Shower left a bit to be desired. I could not get my door code to work 1/2 the time, staff had to give me a key. Light would not turn off inside the room or bathroom and I didn’t know how to turn off the motion sensor part. Location is great, staff is super friendly and helpful, and the property is really clean. Just wasn’t my style.

Very beautiful place surrounding and property only thing I could say is the room was a bit small, but did have a big shower and decent sized bathroom. Staff was very friendly!!

Great spot, easy contactless check in, only thing that sucked was I wasn’t able to request an early check in on the app, not even 30 minutes early so you have to wait till 4 it seems like. Again, great place, very clean and walkable !

The Hotel is excellently located. If your plan is to stay in Laguna this will do it. close to the beach if you want to walk a flight of steps. If not, a short trolley ride north or south to flat entry beaches. I would definitely recommend traveling south to Aliso creek beach, much better access. Walk to town for restaurants and shopping.

Booked this hotel for two nights. It’s right on busy pacific coast highway and across the street from a restaurant. Highway was very noisy and a lot of delivery truck noise early in the am. Room had ear plugs and a noise canceling machine. Really? The stairs to our room were in bad shape. Pool is very small. Lifesaving equipment was in bad shape. Life preserver was old and in bad shape. Pole to save a drowning person was literally black. For two days the same leaves were in the pool deck. How about sweeping them up? Our room had only one chair and no table. Also no chairs outside our room to sit on. The air conditioner made constant noise. I disliked the remote checkin. They wanted an uploaded picture in your drivers license and a scanned picture of yourself. This not a place to vacation at. Probably would be ok for a single person on a business trip.

Great location however the gate access didn’t work and we had to walk to the lobby for entry. The A/C unit was leaking outside and cables and wires were exposed on the edge of the balcony. The bed and comforter were clean and plush. The room was difficult to find as it was on the 4th floor but we had to access it from the 3rd and climb stairs. Lastly, the shower attachment was missing.

Our was very comfortable and met our needs. All of the staff were knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Parking was very convenient. Being near a beach it was hard to keep sand out of the room.

The roof top has a nice view of the ocean. The room on the other hand was a huge disappointment. The room was on the 1st floor which had a huge amount of street noise. There is no insulation in the walls so we can hear everything our neighbors were saying at night. The room stated there was a white noise machine which we couldn't find. The room smelled damp. The vent in the bathroom turns on but feeling the vent, you can tell it is barely working. When we got into the hotel, the bathroom smelled like it was recently used and continued to stay like that even with the vent turned on. Other small details such as purchase UPC stickers showcased on the planters, and the art in the public hall being hung with the artist name upside down. Obviously this is not a hotel that pays attention to detail. I am not sure what the other rooms are like, the ones that have their own balconies seem much better. However, I suggest anyone staying here makes sure they will not be staying on the 1st floor which is below street level.

Read one criticism that the street was noisy...PCH is a major thoroughfare. Ask for a room away from the street if that is a concern. Television access was limited, but don't go to Laguna to watch tv. Excellent accommodations.
