Nice hotel with a warm and friendly family character, near the city center. the Staff is friendly and everything was well arranged for us. Bayreuth is a really nice city and definitely worth a visit, especially in such a nice hotel!

This is a sweet hotel within easy walking distance of the Festspielhaus. It is very old fashioned though and has not been updated for many, many years which its the only thing against it. Carpets are from the 1970s and the bathroom suites are the same. They really do need to spend some money on the detail and refresh this place. However - it is very comfortable and very clean. The staff are lovely and all speak perfect English. Breakfast buffet was definitely worth the 7 euros extra (though at festival room prices this should really be included) I had a great stay here.

Nice, clean and comfortable. Good breakfast for a reasonable fee. Staff was very helpful and spoke English. Close to the Opera House which is a MUST SEE!

The staff were very friendly and helpful at reception. The breakfasts were very good and the staff serving them worked very hard indeed to ensure that meals were served smoothly and quickly - eggs were cooked to order and empty serving dishes quickly refilled. Our room was clean and spacious, with a most welcome electric fan. There was good parking. The hotel was only a leisurely ten minutes walk from the Wagner Festspieltheater and practically opposite the railway station.

The worst thing about the room was the traffic noise if you opened the windows. However, we slept soundly with the windows closed. There was parking behind the hotel, and it is very close to the Hauptbahnhof and walking distance into the town and the Wagner Museum.

I had business at the university and very much enjoyed my stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There are plenty of restaurants nearby including the downtown market. The train station is also nearby.

We were a party of 5 including 2 teenagers and originally planned on staying only two nights, but we ended up staying 5 nights. the hotel was close to the train station and an easy walk into town. big choice of restaurants. breakfast was great. staff were very helpful and friendly. rooms were spacious and comfortable. we based ourselves in Bayreuth and went into Nuremburg and Bamberg on day trips. highly recommend this hotel
