Rooms are in need of a hard goods refresh. Bathroom corners showing signs of superficial cleanliness; baseboard molding with signs of water damage near the shower; gouged paint and wood on the dressers and cabinets. Public spaces well cared for. Pool delightful. Staff excellent. Would stay again at a lower price point. Better value for the money can be found elsewhere in the city.

I've traveled to Charleston a number of times and always chose to stay downtown. We will be staying here from now on for future trips! It's a beautiful location without the craziness of the downtown area. The staff was friendly and accommodating. In addition, having the Charleston Water Taxi nearby made travel to the city so much easier!

Property was beautiful and felt safe. Sheets were uncomfortable and incredibly itchy. Continuously itchy since I slept in the hotel bed. Very uncomfortable and worried that it’s dust mites. Shouldn’t have this issue at the price they charge.

We loved the Beach Club hotel! The gentleman that works the desk, extremely friendly. The dbl queen room is large and the bathroom is beautiful. When can you ever say that?! Our room was over the pool with a view of the harbor. Definitely recommend! Best sunset I’ve seen! The only thing not top notch is the food, especially at Reel Bar. Tried a few things.. Eehh..don’t waste your money on the pizza. Dinner at the Fish House - nice restaurant with a casual vibe. Main courses were amazing, side dishes not much flavor.

Loved the pool but really wish the large pool was heated, it was way too cold. The smaller pool was supposedly heated but no one could tell (asked several other people).

Absolutely loved everything about this hotel. It was super clean. And staff was amazing. Will definitely be back.

I would absolutely stay there again, but this time around there was a problem with the boilers and at least a wing of the property lost hot water. While they fixed it within about 1/2 a day, the pool, which is the main draw, went from luke warm on day 1 to too cold to use by day 3. Other than small kids who don't know any better, there were no adults in the pool at all by day 3, it was just too cold, even though it was plenty warm outside. The property also isn't very conveniently located and no little grocery store / inexpensive dining available so keep that in mind if you're planning to stay.

Great hotel with perfect amenities to stay in the Charleston area and avoid the downtown. Very clean and quiet plus there are lots of things you can do within walking distance or the convenience of the water taxis or hotel shuttles that take you to the downtown area. If I were to recommend something for management is to have some microwave ovens in the common area where one can get coffee. Could not warm up some leftovers my family had. No big deal but it’s a good to have.

Everything was exceptional until the last day. Our room keys stopped working the morning of checkout. My husband was locked out.

Multiple issues, patio door broken, a/c issue, ceiling fan does not work, tub does not hold water, toilet closet has burned out light bulb. No late check out available but see others checking in early 8:45am. Several emergency doors propped open for employees or whoever to come in and out. Unsafe practice. Just ok stay.

Lovely property, but just not enough bars/restaurant options on site and food selections were just so-so. Beautiful views and a great pool/s! No bell staff to help with luggage, unfortunately. Spacious, well appointed room with wonderful linens, large bathroom and balcony.

The hotel is very nice and the room we had was very large and beautifully decorated. The staff were helpful and nice. The pool area is big and there were plenty of chairs available. Loved having the bar right next to the pool. We took the water taxi to Charleston and it was so convenient that it departs from the hotel. Negatives were the gate to get in and out of the resort. There was always a line of cars trying to get the gate to open to leave. Your room key is supposed to work for entry/exit, but ours didn't work a couple of times which was a hassle. There is really only one place to eat a meal (The Fish House) and it was understaffed and it took a long time to be served. We ate most of our meals offsite. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!

Loved this property. Very relaxing and beautiful. All the amenities you need, but close to the hustle and bustle of Charleston. This was our first visit to Charleston area and we would definitely stay here again next time.

Our favorite new US resort! We had six amazing days here. It’s just far enough from downtown to feel like a peaceful resort, but just a short commute to the livelihood of Charleston.
