We liked the staff, especially Christina, who treated us very nicely, responded to questions to the best of their ability, and was pleasant and welcoming. The breakfast was awesome. The windows from some rooms and breakfast area overlook the Eiger Mountain and the Glacier. Our room did not. Amenities within the room can be improved. The shower curtain was too small and made it difficult to prevent splashing of water outside. One other problem is the steep slope to get to the bus station. For an elderly or disabled person, this could present a problem. Overall, we enjoyed staying at this hotel in Grindelwald.

The views were incredible! It was walkable to the Main Street. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff was extremely nice. We loved that breakfast was offered and it was excellent. We would definitely stay here again!

The view from our room was outstanding. Nice hotel away from the main tourist area of Grindelwald. Good breakfast select. Overall we would recommend this hotel.

Difficult to bath. Water was either very hot or very cold and we were not able to shower. We would fill tub with cold and then add hot to get comfortable tempature.

I suggest requesting a room with a view of these mountains as opposed to the other side that looks towards Mount First. That side isn't bad, but the view towards Eiger and Monch is fantastic. The mountains feel close enough to touch. It's a 15 to 20 minute walk to the main train station, but there are also buses that make it easy to get around.

Although my stay was short, it was very nice. The balcony, excellent breakfast, and being in the heart of Grindelwald made it worth it.

Unfortunately, the room assigned to us was infested with bed bugs. We also learnt that another room below ours suffered the same fate. While we were given another room, the entire stay was affected as we needed to take a lot of precautionary measures to prevent our items from getting infected. The overall upkeep of the room was generally satisfactory, but it was old and dated.

We had a fantastic time in grindelwald hotel Residence was very good and the location was in a beautiful area of grindelwald with stunning views of the mountains a and not to far to walk the centre, staff in hotel Residence were excellent and very helpful, our room was very clean and spacious with two balconies, breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. Overall hotel Residence was excellent and we would definitely go there again.

The whole property needs to be renovated. From the carpet to the faucet in the bathroom looked as if they were from the 60s. The breakfast was great and the view from our terrace was amazing.
