Manager was amazing ! The room was super clean and comfortable! I stayed at one of the same hotels in another city and it was not like this one !

I needed a quick, late night check-in at a nice hotel close to one of the NYC hospitals. The Holiday Inn Express - Jamaica met my needs exceptionally well. I enjoyed a comfortable overnight stay, and was able to return to the hospital early the next morning.

The hotel is in a very convenient location for transportation connections, but not very good for nearby dining and shopping. The breakfast offerings are barebones, too.

Very clean property in a dirty neighborhood near a very convenient transportation hub for subways, buses, LIRR, and AirTrain to JFK.

It was a pleasant surprise we wanted to stay close to JFK to fly out in the morning. First we were welcomed by a friendly gentleman he was courtesy and professional. The BIGGEST and most welcome surprise was how comfortable the bed was...it was our 5th bed in 2 weeks and it was great. The property has obviously been recently renovated and done well. An added benefit was the included breakfast which included a decent selection. The low star is nothing to do with the actual property but the surrounding area is definitely sketchy, in fact the front desk person said do NOT leave anything in the car since we had to park on the street no parking garage is onsite. However overall it was a pleasant surprise. Would definitely stay there again for an early flight.

If you read others review i was unsure about the place when i booked. i had a better experience so sometimes not fair to judge without looking at yourself.

Convenient location from airport with excellent value

Location is good to JFK

It was a clean, comfortable and accessible location to restaurants and bars, I would definitely recommend

We stayed for an overnight layover at JFK and with only a few hours to sleep picked this one based on proximity. We took the AirTrain to the shuttle area only to call and be told they don’t have one (despite it saying there was one on Expedia), then the security wall protecting the person at the check in desk was very off putting and immediately caused unease about the area. The sheets had some stains and despite shampoo and conditioner bottles being provided in the bathroom, the conditioner was basically soap and water. When we called down to request some we were told we should’ve brought our own and that there was nothing they could do. Needless to say I would not recommend this hotel.

We needed a place to stay for an overnight and they had their rooms available but said they couldn’t check in our rooms till 3pm. They didn’t even refund my room

I asked the front desk worker for extra set of towels for my daughter he told me he isn’t that until the morning . I found that to be inconsiderate & selfish I would never book at this hotel EVER AGAIN !!
