Barebones hotel. Dark hallways, shabby room, stained grout on shower tiles. The are lights under the bed that turn on automatically when you leave the bed at night, waking up other people in the room who may be asleep. Very rude young man at the front desk. Dismissive and super rude. We will never stay here again.

This hotel was a 5 minute walk from the Central Train Station. The breakfast was amazing with a lot of variety. My room was decorated nicely. It was close to restaurants and to the area where the bus leaves for tours. I would highly recommend this Hotel. Staff was very helpful.

The hotel is in a great location and the hotel was clean. They offer water and apples all day long. The taco bar was surprisingly good. The lobby was very cute and it had a lot of networking opportunities.

Well positioned for the train and bus station, just 5 minutes walk. Nice looking hotel, modern, well decorated with an abundance of real plants which was a nice touch. Our room was on the first floor and was very clean and comfortable. Our one niggle is that the room was too crowded. We had a king bed plus a chaise long plus large hanging chair. It made moving around the room a bit tricky, especially if your old and need to get up in the night :( . The staff were friendly and the breakfast was good, plenty of choice. We would stay again, especially as it was so convenient for public transport.

Hotel was well situated next to the train station and walking distance from all major sites. The hotel is clean and pictures are reflective of reality. Only downside is the lack of amenities in the room like coffee.

Breakfast buffet was delicious with plenty of options. The dining area was very comfortable and welcoming with lots of greenery. It was so nice to be so close and within walking distance to the downtown core and train station.

A great, affordable hotel on the edge of Salzburg City Centre. Just a 3 minute walk from the main train and bus stations so great if you’re travelling in the area. A 12-15 minute walk from the old town about a 10 minute walk from where many of the tour operators have stands for a day trips. It’s a clean comfortable hotel with well thought through amenities including daily free fruit and water. We found it to be quiet and staff and other guests were friendly. Highly recommend!

The Cocoon in Salzburg was wonderful. It is easy to get to from the train station. It is close to both the old and new sections of the city. The staff was very warm and welcoming. And the rooms were just right. Best hotel we stayed at on our three week European trip.

Conveniently located near Salzburg Hauptbahnhof. Small but cozy rooms. Breakfast good (~19 EUR). Note that they do not service rooms unless requested, you have to pay extra for luggage storage and late check-out. About 1km walk to city, lots of bus options very close. As we came by train I found it really convenient. Would stay again.

Shower leaked and broken toilet seat but otherwise happy with everything

Lovely small hotel with excellent staff, good amenities and a great breakfast table. Limited paid parking at the hotel, but big underground commuter parking garage right outside the entrance. Across the road from the main train station and a bus depot and walking distance to Mirabel park and other attractions, restaurants and shops. The room was small, but tastefully appointed. Could have done with a small closet to put away our stuff. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Special shout out to Kris, Beatrize and Hajia who gave us a lot of helpful tips and recommendations.

The immediate area was a little gritty but the overall location was very good. The staff was gracious and the interior of the hotel was very clean.
