The Marquis de Lafayette is quickly becoming my go-to hotel for trips to Cape May. Friendly staff, great location, and well positioned rooms. I look forward to another stay or two in 2025.

The mini fridge and coffee maker weren’t working and it wasn’t realized so food placed in the fridge went bad.

It was a nice stay. The staff were very friendly. We liked that there was live music and and outdoor bar open even though it was off season. The room had a livivg room area with a pullout couch and chair. A kitchenette with mini cooktop, microwave, fridge and sink. Modern bathroom with toiletires. One downside, Shower water pressure is not very strong. The balcony had 2 rocking chairs and a table over looking the pool and a view of the ocean. Great location! We parked our car (includes one spot) and walked to everything.

The heater/ac unit was so loud. The bathroom was old and tiny. It was fine for a night but would not stay here again.

Brought the grandchildren down to Cape May for the weekend. Have stayed here before so knew exactly what to expect. Was just what we expected. We like having more room and the kitchenette. My favorite is the balcony.

The parking was a problem. In fact, someone hit my car in the rear leaving damage on the bumper (2021 Camery). The parking is very tight and hard to get into. We quickly learned not to move the car if you had a decent space right beside the hotel. The smaller parking lot was awful, however, whoever hit my car did it in the large parking lot beside the hotel.

Best beach hotel I've ever stayed at. Enough room for a family of 4 and easy with walking almost everywhere in Cape May. Close to the beach and restaurants...and a pool. More seats at said pool would be nice but that's a nitpick. Would definitely return.

I would definitely stay at this hotel again. It has a great location. We stepped out of our hotel and right onto Decatur St. and the heart of the shopping in Cape May. The pool and hot tub were very nice. The room we stayed in was small and in need of some repair, but the hotel manager gave us her card and said next time to call her and she would go over all the room options they have.

We enjoyed our short stay at this hotel. It was in an excellent location. We parked the car and walked everywhere for our 3 night stay. We would definitely stay here again!

Hotel was good but the bed and chair in our room 228 was terrible. Could not get a good nights sleep. Location by the beach was fine.

Excellent location…great stay. Hotel staff is super friendly and very accommodating, rooms are ample enough, the bathrooms can use a little updating but it’s part of the old charm so no big deal. Great ocean view room and the balcony is pretty cool, just make sure you turn off the AC if you’re sitting out there because the exhaust might fry you. Walking distance to the street mall and steps to the beach. Restaurant food was great and pool was clean and found lounge chairs available every time so that’s a plus. Drinks from the bar were excellent…already planning our next stay!!!

Excellent location, right off the beach with easy access. We stayed 3 nights in the luxury suite. It is spacious and clean, with a balcony facing the pool and the beach. Sitting at balcony, particularly with a drink in hand, is very enjoyable. The panamamic ocean views are right in front of you.
Hotel staffs at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. Our check in was quick, with our room ready ahead of time.
We probably will come back to stay again next year or the following.

The room was a good size and there was a nice balcony facing the pool and ocean. The beach bar had live music that you could hear from the balcony. There was also a little kitchenette that came in handy. I would stay here again.
