Only messaged through hotel.com on the day itself as we are traveling there that their reception closed at 10pm. They mentioned about leaving the keys at front desk. Booked for 2 adult and 1 child, a room with 2 single beds n 2 futon, but only 2 bed when checked in. Check-in document mentioned child stays free. Then 2nd night the reception told us our child too old to be free and charged us the whole stay including the pervious night when no preparation was done for our child. Unreasonable. Description claimed a few languages spoken, but 3 receptionist we spoken too all struggled with English. So when we explained that it is unreasonable to charge us when they didn't prepare anything for our child on the 1st night, the receptionist just kept repeating herself and told us to message them instead as she can't explain in English. Throughout the stay, noone explained about the amenities in the chalet. Bottomline, don't engage this chalet through hotel.com. The charges are not transparent. Extra charge of around 33% more.

Chalet Burlap Furanui is an excellent option if visiting Furano for a ski trip (after three visits to Furano previously, this has been the favourite accommodation wrt value for money). Our room was very spacious with an ensuite, the onsite onsen is a massive bonus, and the breakfast is great! Short walk to the ski hill, and the service from everyone working there was excellent. Highly recommend.

Loved our stay at Chalet Burlap! Hotel was not the newest but has a very traditional Japanese rustic charm - very very clean!! We had the traditional tatami rooms which were very nice and comfortable. The staff were always smiley and happy to help and welcome drink in the lobby was a nice touch!

Great little 2 storey villa with enough room for a family of 5. Fully equipped kitchen and laundry. Optional breakfast buffet and main course at the main house were great.

Highly recommend! Excellent staff and service. Always helpful and caring. Great breakfast! Shuttle services were terrific and easy to ski and do other activities. Our kids enjoyed the games in the lobby and overall a great atmosphere. We stayed in one of the cottages and were very comfortable.. Thank you would definitely stay again!

Our regular Furano hotel was fully booked in July 2022 along with most other hotels in Furano. Our search turned up Chalet Burlap Furanui so we gave it a try. It's a cute boutique hotel just a short walk from the Furano Kitanomine ski area. Free parking across the street, onsen on site along with free happy hour drinks! However, the best feature of this property is the warm and friendly staff that make you feel welcomed! Rates are reasonable and include a hot breakfast. It was a pleasant surprise for us and we would definitely stay again.

Excellent stay. A very clean and functional chalet. It has everything you need. Very nice ofuro. Excellent breakfast. The breakfast cook seems to be a chef. Maybe he is. Most outstanding was the friendly and super helpful staff. Highly recommended!

Our stay at Chalet Burlap was amazing. From the beginning we met Akemi and Fuzuki who were so nice to be greeted by when we walked in from the snow. Fuzuki spoke wonderful English and was such a gem and such a pleasure to speak to. Both Akemi and Fuzuki both provided excellent customer service for everything we needed. We also had nice experiences with the hotel managers Adrian and Shige. Now to the room which was extremely clean and everything we needed was there. They provided a free shuttle for everywhere we wanted to go so that was definitely a five star rating. The accomodation was close the restaurants and shops all within a short walking distance. And they provided complementary plum wine which was so nice. We also met Carla and another gentleman who I can’t remember his name. He was kind enough to lend us his green umbrella so that we could take the photo of the scene from Tottoro. Thank you so much. Couldn’t have done it without your umbrella. We felt the hotel was very family oriented and not a commercial process driven hotel which we felt warm and welcoming everyday we went out and returned. The hotel had a washer and dryer for a small fee which Was a really big helped. The onsen was also a nice experience. also, the house cleaning team was great, they were busy bees everyday and always smiled and greeted you and bowed their heads. Keep up the good work ladies. Overall, the stay was fantastic and I’ll give the hotel and service staff the max star rating.

The staff are really friendly and helpful. We love the free shuttle services to and from the ski slopes and the Furano Station. The lodge is very clean, cozy, has a piano and games for the kids. The location is great for Kitanomine zone, close to shops, restaurants and ski hire. The rooms are good size. There isn’t anything that we don’t like about the lodge although the aircon seems to be a bit old fashioned and hard to keep the room at the right temperature. Overall we would highly recommend this place to our friends.

Very friendly cozy hotel. Location is really nice! Breakfast is nice. They cook breakfast when we had seat. Onsen floor is not so comfortable. They need to put some cleaning mop to wipe the wet floor. Overall good to stay and enjoy winter sports!
