Great location. Hard for us to find because we were diving and didnt have wifi. Owner very nice but speaks no English. He provided maps with walking routes so that we saw everything. Once we knew where the hotel was, no problem.

We loved our stay at Il Nespolo Sassi. A very nice clean room, very friendly and thoughtful hosts, and a wonderful location.

Great location right beside old city. Many amenities nearby, restaurants, grocery stores, shopping. Nice continental type breakfast included. Only negative is no windows in room.

Our host Michele was outstanding! He picked us up from the station, booked us into a tour of the Sassi within 90 minutes of our arrival and made sure that he was contactable at all times. The rooms are just on the edge of the Sassi with all the convenience of being easily accessible to everything. The rooms are small but very clean and functional. A fantastic city and an exceptional host.

Great location just off the sassi, Michele couldn't have been more helpful, just a shame we couldn't get breakfast at the moment. Felt very safe walking round the area at night.

Amazing City. Must do if you like outdoor museum. Loved the whole vibe. Good walking town to get your daily steps in.

Great place, sort of underground, in the modern town center of Matera, just above the old city and the world-famous caves and rock dwellings. Michele is a very pleasant host and guides you down the narrow alley to the parking spot. The room was nice, clean, and modern and the bathroom was spacious. Breakfast (Italian style) was served at a local bar/resto just a few steps from the B&B. I’d stay there again if I happen to visit Matera again which I sure hope will be possible in the coming years.
