The River Hills is a sweet motel that offers a perfectly clean room and great service. Beautiful little town that has plenty to explore.

Unique clerk-less checking where you’re texted a code to obtain your key.
Room was small but very clean. A reading light and end table on both sides of bed would have been nice. Old school feel but all was very satisfactory.

I didn’t care for there not being a person on site. The rooms are older so rooms are small/ not many outlets. But it was very clean and the queen bed was very comfortable

Room is teeny tiny and very basic. But so clean! Impeccable! Everything was fresh looking and in good condition, a simple bed and shower was just what we needed. I liked the Dove products and the quilted comforter. The check in area needs a rack of brochures or a stack of Door County books.

Room was very clean and well kept. There is no service or live person at the property. Room was extremely small and walls are super thin. It was fine for a last minute stay, but with no amenities, not a place to stay for long. Communication was great via text from the owner. No complaints overall.

Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Had a little trouble with the air conditioner. Check-in was very unique. Was difficult on the question to rate staff because there aren't any. Was an easy walk to town and to the winery.

Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. It was nice having a Keurig, fridge, and microwave. The AC wasn't very powerful and the bathroom sink fixture was so loose it seemed like it would unattach every use but it was fine for one night.

I have stayed at The River Hills Motel 10 times since May 2024. For my job I have to travel from Milwaukee and stay in Algoma for a few nights at a time. My stay has been perfect every time. My rooms have always been clean. Nothing worn or tattered in my rooms. Parking right outside my door is great. I didn't get a key pickup code once ( no biggie ) Went in the key pickup room pushed the call button and someone answered right away it was taken care of in 1 minute. I am so thankful I found this Motel cause there rooms are exactly what I need when I stay in Algoma. Everyone of my stays have been 5 stars. Also close to restaurants, grocery store and gas.

I have stayed in Algoma 9 times since April 2024 for work. I travel from Milwaukee. Perfect every single time !!! I am so thankful that I found this Motel. Parking right outside the door is awesome also. It's close restaurants,grocery store and gas. The River Hills Motel is great.

I have stayed 9 times since April 2024. No kidding this is the perfect motel. Always a clean room which I can't say about other hotels I've stayed in before I found The River Hills Motel. I am so thankful that I found this Motel. If you just need a simple and clean room it's perfect.

We enjoyed our five night stay at the River Hills Motel very much. Algoma is a beautiful little town, and the property was very convenient for what we wanted to do in the area. We had a problem with the bed in the first room we were given, and the management team did a great job taking care of us by immediately moving us to another room. I was very impressed with their responsiveness and by their willingness to make things right. We would definitely stay there again!

Simple accommodations. Rooms are tiny, but guests know that up front. This is an older property, but clearly the owners have put money into it. Housekeeping staff were the only employees we saw and quite friendly. It’s basic rooming, but fairly priced and well maintained.

We planned a last minute trip to Door County over Labor Day and this was the closest hotel we could find. It was very basic and small, but served our purposes well. The town is very quiet and there are not many dining options or things to do.
