Our stay at the Spacious 4 Bedroom Townhouse With Garden, managed by Livestay and booked through Booking.com, was an incredibly devastating experience. A burglary on November 14, 2024, resulted in over £1000 worth of personal belongings being stolen while we were away from the apartment. The thief entered through the back door of the apartment, targeting our personal items while leaving the apartment’s valuables untouched also left our possessions scattered on the floor, including passports, suitcases, and personal items, raising concerns about property safety and potential insurance scam at the end of the property management. The thief stole many branded and expensive jackets, sweatshirts, shoes, makeup, handbags, and chocolates. Livestay management provided no support, apology, or concern after the incident. Worse, they charged £300 from our security deposit, unjustly without giving us any reasons. Booking.com was equally unresponsive, failing to offer any assistance or hold Livestay accountable. This horrifying experience completely ruined our family trip as my children were terrified, unable to sleep, and constantly anxious. The entire family of 9 people, including four small kids, experienced sleepless nights, panic attacks, and overwhelming fear. What should have been a joyful vacation became a traumatic ordeal we will never forget. Moreover, Livestay failed to secure the property, support us during the crisis, or act ethically in the aftermath. Booking.com, as the platform facilitating this booking, failed to address our concerns, ensure accountability, or provide any meaningful support. Nobody from the booking.com customer support team has helped us with this situation to this date. Neither party has taken responsibility for their role in this disaster! Both Livestay and Booking.com have demonstrated a shocking lack of accountability, professionalism, and care for their guests. THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU BOOK THIS PROPERTY BY LIVESTAY!!
