Welcome to The Blue Herron! We celebrate the legacy of our beloved and dearly missed grandparents, Ellis and Jeffalene Herron. They loved Galveston and it's where we spent all of our family Fourth of July celebrations with them. We look forward to sharing our newly remodeled cottage built in 1868 and 1900 storm survivor, and know they would be delighted to share it with you as well!

Experience Galveston like a local in this delightful 5-bedroom cottage built in 1868. Conveniently located in the East End Historical District very near east end beaches and the Strand, you'll arrive to either in minutes!

With 1 king bed, 1 queen bed, 2 full beds, 4 twin bed (one set bunk) 2 full-size futons, a convertible chair, and 1 pack 'n play, there's plenty of space for 15 guests. The large comfy L-shaped sofa can accommodate two, if needed. Enjoy cold AC, WiFi, Washer/Dryer and a charcoal BBQ pit.

The 3 updated bathrooms offer a tub and/or shower.

The upstairs space is dedicated to the kids, but can most certainly accommodate adults. We do not recommend an adult sleep on the top bunk. With 6 beds and a projector for movie night, and a chalkboard wall, all the cousins will be kept busy here!

Outdoor games for the backyard provide for a fun family night. The patio is just as comfortable as the house, so cozy up in a chair or the sofa while watching a game of giant Jenga until dinner is pulled off the grill.
