Pre arrival questions ignored. Lighting totally inadequate. Stairs to top floor bedroom so steep as to be dangerous especially at night. No instruction leaflets for appliances.

the location the cleanliness

one window on the 3rd floor was defected, could not close and the noisy from the beer event was troubling us to sleep until to midnight. the WC paper was too little to cover even a half day.

contemporary and light with a nod to the historic with vintage staircase and rail. just off a plaza with a 2 minute walk to the shores of Lake Geneva. close to rail and bus. delightful and convenient.

door wouldn’t lock from the outside.

Excellent bathroom with lovely walk in shower. Heated tile bathroom floors as well. Daily housekeeping was nice. Mini fridge was handy and kept food very cold.

The location is very close to the lake, ca. 3mins by walk. The market plaza (Place du Marche) is also close. Vevey seems like small town but it is not. Very attractive city, people are so kind. No language barrier. You can see smiling people in every places. The guesthouse is very cozy. My room is a bit small for two people. Facilities are good enough. It would be better to have small kitchen.

Bathroom is too large and the fan in the bathroom is too noisy. Especially shower head and hosepipe, due to leaking water, the water pressure isn't good enough.

It's in a great position. It was an easy walk from the train station, although we had a bit of trouble finding it until we realised the entrance was up a little lane. We were sent a code for the door and had no trouble getting in. We didn't meet any staff while we were there. We'd booked a lake view room and we did indeed have a good view of the lake and the fancy rotating clock. The Alimentarium and the Photographic museum are very close, and there were even people swimming nearby, even though it was November! There were several cafés and restaurants around the big square we overlooked. We had a good pizza at Bla Bla (we were lucky to get a table, I'd advise booking) and a nice breakfast at the friendly boulangerie right by us on the square. The room was clean and spacious, with a good bathroom and shower. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return.

The entrance door did not always close properly when going in or out and we had to make sure it was pulled closed behind us, which could be a bit of a security issue. We walked in without the code once when a man came out without checking it. However, Vevey seemed a very safe town and there was a good lock on our room, so we weren't too worried.

Perfect location, close to restaurants, shops and attractions. Check in is well organized and communication with host was very easy. Comfortable room, perfect for a stay in Vevey.

It can be a bit noisy.

Located in the old town part of Vevey in a 400 year old building that had bee modernized inside. The room was quite large with the largest bathroom experienced during our trip. Le Charlot is discreetly located in the old district which made it hard to find even with Google Maps. There is only a small sigh indicating the establishment. Once found everything went OK.

We had a little difficulty with locking the door but with the help of the manager we got t he hang of it.

Parking was trickier than expected

Really lovely guesthouse and great location. The rooms were lovely and clean and the hosts were really accommodating letting us leave our bags in the room before check-in after we arrived early.

Only slight downside is that there is no air con, however there was a fan which helped.

This was the third time we have stayed here, so we highly recommend it! The bed is one of the most comfortable we’ve had the pleasure to sleep in. Check in is done in advance and very well organized. You are given a code to get in the building beforehand and then can retrieve the key from the room. We were very impressed with the communication from Julien in English explaining everything. Tea and coffee facilities were appreciated and products to use in the huge shower! We think this is great value for Switzerland, especially as the location is so great, just behind the place du marche by the lake, but in a quiet street. We didn’t see any other staff apart from the cleaner who was lovely! Pleasantly surprised by how early you can check in and check out is at midday! We will stay again!

Leaving! We were so busy in Vevey we didn’t have much time to enjoy the room!

Comfortable, large room in good location, easy to access and check out (as no reception). Would certainly stay again.

Our second stay at the Guesthouse and once again the check in via WhatsApp was easy and efficient. It is such a great location being able to walk along the lake side to many great restaurants. Rooms on the street rather than on the lake/market side of the Guesthouse are smaller (reflected in the price) but still have a pretty view of the garden court yard across the street.

Our bed and single pillow were a bit lumpy so we slept on top of the duvet as an extra layer.
