the people! loved the vibe. breakfast was great (esp as a way to meet people). great facilities, too

volunteers were all great, but it did feel weird that some of them were quite profiteering off the guests (eg bbq’s at the hostel were more expensive than local restaurants, hostel bar would close & volunteers would sell beer they bought from grocery store). felt schemey and confusing at times

- Great location, next to a beach and just at 10 min walk to downtown. Nice view of the ocean from the houses. - Good breakfast. - The bar is very nice to meet people. - A lot of activities are offered.

- No stove in the kitchen. - The quality of the dorms is very variable and depends on the houses. My first dorm was nice, with curtains for privacy, but the house is located next to the main road so it was very noisy (you have 3 different houses). I asked to change and fortunately the staff was understanding and accepted it. The other dorm was quieter but no curtains and the shower was ridiculously little. - The staff is mostly nice, but one guy wasn't at all. Didn't wake up on time one morning to prepare the early breakfast and then was very unpleasant and put music very loud while it was very early. Another day, he cooked with someone and made a lot of noise at 1 am. Another day, another staff member did not wake up on time neither for breakfast, but at least apologized. - The signs with "ti****s" and "pe**s" wrote on it next to the bar. Guys, it's 2023, it's not ok to be that sexist. - The surf school the hostel is working with is quite mediocre. Most of the teachers are not involved and are more interested to take waves themselves than giving you advice. And they stopped giving us shoes, so a guy and I got sea urchin stings and I had to insist to have them back then. The boards have no wax neither so when you don't have shoes, you slip. Better to find another surf school or surfing by yourself I you have the level for it.

Warm, open atmosphere, easy to meet people and a great living room to chill out. Everyone is having breakfast together, really cosy. The staff is happy to help you out with anything!

The vibe, the people, the location, the breakfast, the rooms, the VIEW, the proximity to the town Center and clubs, this place was a delight to stay at.

The shower 😂 I don’t know why so many places in Portugal have tiny showers but this was one.

Staff wonderful, people wonderful, surf lessons very convenient and instructors helpful.

This was easily one of the nicest places I've gone
