We stayed for a month over Christmas 2020 and January 2021. The house is located within walking distance of Nerja but in an agricultural area near to the river and we were able to access some lovely country walks directly from the house . The views are really good and the terraces get the evening sun. The house is very traditional, perhaps a bit dated but it has a real charm and is also very comfortable. The armchairs in the living room are really comfy. The kitchen is excellently equipped with every conceivable pot, pan and electrical appliances . There are plenty of different seating areas both inside and out. The showers are powerful and the hot water very hot. The bed in the master bedroom is 4ft 6inches but very comfortable and for our winter stay the owners provided snuggly sheets. We found that the house needed a boost on heating in the evenings but the managing agent kindly organised a delivery of firewood for the fireplace in the living room. The managing agent was outstanding, communication was quick and easy , they couldn’t have done any more . They provided lots of advice and support which was appreciated as we were at the house during a time of increasing Covid restrictions . The owner who lives next door was friendly and spoke English . He made us feel very welcome and even gave us some oranges and avocado from his plot. He showed us some water pots in the house which were used by his grandmother to collect water from the river before the house was connected to the mains supply . We would really recommend this lovely home . It is utterly charming.

We spent a week here as a family of four (kids age 6 and 10) as part of a mini road trip around southern Spain. We all loved the villa, and especially the private pool, which was really clean, just the right temperature and child friendly (although both our children are competent swimmers, the deep end felt quite deep) The rooms were spacious and airy, and the air-con was particularly welcome. The facilities in the kitchen were plentiful which meant we could cook a few evenings for ourselves. Eating all our meals out on the terrace was a particular highlight which we're now missing back at home! Having use of the proper BBQ on site was also very handy. We were able to park our hire car within the locked gates of the property. Although the property is quite remote (from Nerja central areas), the area still felt very safe with a handful of neighbouring properties. Access to the villa from the main roads was on unfinished roads, occasionally steep and bendy, but our hire coped perfectly fine. It is possible to walk to the nearby Lidl within a 15 min walk or so, but this is up steep, narrow paths which can be difficult in the heat whilst carrying lots of groceries. We ate out some nights on both ends of Nerja town, but drove to the beach each time so can't comment on walking down/up from the beaches, but it is not a short stroll. The overall location of the villa is great for accessing the rest of Nerja, and a good base to explore other parts of Andalucia. We also met the owner, Antonio, who was very friendly, accommodating and gave us suggestions on places to visit.

We really enjoyed being in the villa with our children and grandchildren. We come back another time and enjoy the beautiful view from the courtyard.

Owner living next door, willing to help on whatever needed, extremely friendly and helpful. Common spaces, view, garden perfect for family bigger double bed to fit 2 and maybe newer bed sheets

Une maison magnifique à quelques minutes à peine de la plage. Un endroit idéal pour y passer des vacances au calme avec famille, enfants ou amis. Des propriétaires adorables et tjrs au petit soin. Nous recommandons !

We had a fantastic stay at Villa Cornocalejo. It is well stocked with all you need for a self catering holiday. The kids loved the pool and the views are incredible. Very rural and relaxing as its away from all the usual hussle and bussle. I would recommend a car as it is quite a walk to the main areas which is also over a small stream. The owner speaks little English but was very accommodating and gave great customer service. Juan (who we booked it with) also gave great customer service and made our arrival and departure as stress free as possible and provided great communication throughout the booking.

We had a lovely time at Villa Cornocalejo. The views were beautiful and also the gardens. It was a very homely villa with everything you could need. An added bonus was the gated off pool which made holidaying with a 2 year old much easier!! 6 of us stayed at the villa and there was plenty of room. The Villa layout is all on one level which made things easier with our disabled son. The property was clean and tidy and the weekly cleaner was friendly. The villa is very private, secure and not overlooked. We were meet at the villa by next door with the keys which was very easy. I would highly recommend this villa to anyone.

A really lovely villa and very homely. The view's were stunning and also the gardens. Having the pool gated off really made our holiday easier with a 2 year old!! Very friendly and easy handovers. There was six of us staying and plenty of space inside and out. Would highly recommend to anyone.

We had a fantastic week at Villa Cornocalejo in June/July this year. What a fantastic villa - very spacious, beautiful gardens and outdoor seating and a great swimming pool. The villa was a 10-15 minute walk from the shops in Nerja, a very picturesque town with lots to do and plenty of restaurants/bars/shops to suit all! I would thoroughly recommend this villa, it would very comfortably sleep a group of six with room to spare! A beautiful location with excellent facilities.
