This location was perfect for our typical Monterey activities. It was a five minute walk to the beach and a short walk to a nearby park. It was close to downtown Monterey for their farmers market and the aquarium in the morning too. The rooms themselves were clean and comfortable.

I honestly loved it all! They had just fixed their pool and spa so the heater wasn’t working yet, but this was not a big deal for us.

Upgraded room after our original room was an absolute mess

Outstanding front desk clerk (Asian lady was very helpful and friendly). Thanks for your assistance. Although the room faced the side street, I heard no noise! Parked right underneath.

Rooms were not the cleanest, and the bed was very firm.

I like the room, it was very spacious and clean. The outside was cute and maintained.

The first thing I didn't like is that someone was given our same room from the front desk and given key access to our room the second night we were staying there. A woman walked in, and luckily, my husband met her at the door. The good and bad in that is luckily we were there, so nothing got stolen. The bad thing is, they could have walked into an intimate moment, and that's not professional of the staff to give out our room; that should have been logged as booked! The second thing I did not like is that they only gave you 1 1/2 toilet paper rolls in the bathroom, and it was super thin toilet paper. The third thing I didn't like was that the cafe was no longer open there and that would have been nice to know beforehand. The last thing I didn't like is that my husband went to the front desk and ask the lady if she had any change to break some bills because the soda machine wasn't taking our dollars and she said " no, there should be water in your room." My husband informed her we didn't have any, and he'd buy one if it's available, and the woman looked irritated and gave him two water bottles. Just a little hospitality note, be kind to your guests and smile.
