The view from my room was the best part of my stay and the staff was excellent. Always a good vibe of happiness every day from the front door to the front desk very welcoming. Never made it to the pool area but the pictures were another reason why I chose the Renaissance lakefront hotel. So many places to walk to a tour and food of all cuisines. And to top it all off this great hotel put me right at my son's shipyard. Now how great is that. Thanks Renaissance lakefront hotel staff and management team job very well done until my next visit God bless

That there was so much to do I never make it to the hotel pool lol but I don't regret a thing I shall return to the Renaissance lakefront hotel again matter of fact every time I go to Portsmouth Virginia this is where I must stay.

The best part of our stay was the room we stayed in and Shawn (our waitress during breakfast). She was so welcoming and patient and we talked about how wonderful her service was on the drive back to Charlotte. It's unfortunate how service has gone down in many establishments because everyone is short staffed. Shawn was running around like a chicken with no head, but her wonderful demeanor never waivered. If she is eligible for a raise or any special recognition, GIVE IT TO HER!!!

Love this hotel and the staff. They are always willing and able to assist in anyway possible.

There was a slight problem with the bar food. It was, however immediately addressed and rectified. Did not participate in the breakfast buffet, but it is always very good and the waite staff are the best ever!

I liked the hotel the area where the food was the food in the hotel was a bit pricey everything else was good and I enjoyed the visit

It was my wife birthday Jan 1. However, the hotel had no type of entertainment for to be a New Year. We was a bit disappointed, it was dead in such a pretty hotel.

The room great. The bartender that work the last shift need a little more friendly. I felted sorry, because the Jack Daniel reps were there and need more support from your company. Next year please have some nice live jazz not a DJ!! It will bring you money!!! A fact.
