Hotel failed to help me with a very important request, and they wouldn't even listen, plus there was no manager on site to help

Very close to the train tracks, which run through the night. Atleast they did NOT blare their horn in the middle of the night, near the hotel (last time they did), so we REALLY. appreciated that, this time.

right next to the train tracks, the train ran multiple times each night, some times blaring their horn right by the hotel.

The noise level in the room from adjacent rooms, the corridor and the plumbing were so bad we hardly got any sleep; which after all is why your at a hotel at all, right? Someone in the next room was creating banging noises causing the wall to shake and their TV was clearly audible. Conversation and door banging from the hallway were loud inside the room but worst of all was the extremely loud noise from the plumbing. I was woken up - at 5am - by the noise of someone in the building having a shower (I think). It was so loud I went to check if someone was using our bathroom. And to add to the noise the a/c unit rattled and clattered whenever it was running. Yes. I know cookie-cutter hotel room walls are not the best for acoustic isolation - but this experience was an order of magnitude worse than we've experienced elsewhere. By morning we were too exhausted even to go down for breakfast.
