The location to the beautiful gulf coast beaches and our AC unit although loud and dirty was working are the ONLY redeeming quality of this rundown establishment that houses bed bugs. Well, the $69. a night was great, too, until one gets covered with welts from bed bugs, which Booking.com would not let me post in pictures. Nothing is worth dealing with bed bugs and being lied to. The family that runs Island Breeze Inn claim that they've never had bed bugs before. I started to investigate reviews. The owners are not in the business of telling the truth about their bed bug situation, as indicated in other reviews. Also, they knew exactly what to do to try and clean up the situation.

BED BUGS! When I reached out to Booking for assistance with a refund Booking told me that the motel said they could not find any bugs. Not clear as to why after Booking saw the numerous welts on my arms and shoulders in pictures that I shared with customer service, that they will not let me post here, that they would side with the owners who do not tell the truth about their bed bug issues, but Booking.com did. The motel manager saying that they did not see any bugs is deceptive and untrue because we showed them the nest that we found on the outside of the mattress bag that they encased the mattress in. Other issues I put up with before being infested by bed bug welts that surfaced days after being bitten are: Inconsistent locking of the back courtyard even after asking about the times it will be locked and open. Bbq rusted and had to be cleaned with wd40 before we could use. Lack of thongs for grill. Denial of ever having bed bugs which is a lie because there are numerous other reviews that talk about bed bugs. Ice machine was broken. Towels were stained and each day a different amount were left in the room. Mold in the AC unit. Clearly people live there. Yelling and swearing can be heard through the walls by these people. Unsupervised children riding bikes through the parking lot like it is a play area. and MOST OF ALL Bed Bugs!!!!! I am disappointed that I did not take many, many more pictures and videos. This place should not be booked until they get the all clear by the health inspector.

So affordable, great location, amazing staff, comfy rooms! we stayed in three different locations this past week and by far this location was my favorite! super cozy

No complaints!

Not far from the beach. I was able to walk to breakfast from my room. I would definitely go back if I was in the area again.

Nice bed. Coffee maker was nice. Plenty of towels. I wasn’t expecting to spend much time there so it was adequate for my needs. I liked the mini-fridge too.

I couldn’t get the tv to come on. The WiFi kept disconnecting. The air conditioner was kind of loud but didn’t keep me up. Very small bathroom but ok for my needs.

Room was old, not much updated. Bathroom had no space to move or set anything down. Floors didn’t seem that clean. Bed had a spray of fake red roses thrown on top of it, as if that was welcoming. Wondered where they’d been. Desk said my credit card was declined over and over. Called my credit card company and they said the security code wasn’t being added accurately but the desk person said they just swipe it. luckily had another card that worked (?). She was very nice but couldn’t make it work for some reason. The place needs work! Also several people laying on the ground outside the doors of rooms in rear if property as if they lived at the motel. Just odd!

The location was terrific. The room was old and needs updating. Everything was clean.

Location was it's best feature. Owners were very nice and accommodating.

Room was very small. Bathroom was unbelievably small. There was a cloth chair that was very stained and should have been an embarrassment to the owners. We were met with two half dead palmetto bugs on the floor when we entered the room. We would have left if we had somewhere else to go. The TV was unbearably small.
