The room was clean

The bed was terrible. It did NOT sit even on the frame and was lopsided. In fact, where it was somewhat firm, that's only from the 2X4 that I could feel from underneath on the frame itself. The hotel itself smelled of old cigarettes and the "breakfast bar" was literally just a cabinet with free snacks. The location is also next door to what I believe is a homeless shelter, as everyone who stepped outside from there seemed like they were in emergency housing.

I was initially sent to a room that wasn’t cleaned yet. That never happened to me before. But they gave me another room pretty quickly.

Every member of staff we encountered was very friendly! I loved the room. The recliner was great, The kitchen spotless, Plenty of table space/desk space. The room was very nice. The coffee was the bomb! McDonalds has such good coffee and yours was right up there with McDonalds! Really good!

That hard king mattress will be the one issue that prevents me from coming back. Pillows were too thin. And on a night when it is below zero, another blanket would have been really appreciated. Luckily we had two in the car that we brought in and we were warmer the second night.

The advertised "free breakfast" was a kiosk in the lobby.

Location was convenient to family living nearby. There was a full fridge but not many utensils necessary for real food prep. Had to get them from family or from front desk.

Immediately after opening the door on the first day I knew that this room was not a non-smoking one. Unfortunately the property was booked solid and chances of changing rooms was unlikely. The room smelled of smoked being masked by cleaning supplies trying desperately to make it smell clean. After a few minutes you wouldn’t notice the smell but every time you left the room, the smell would hit you when you returned. We spent a week there. Now that we are out, our clothes, bags everything that was in the room with us has that smell. Carpets were a deep brown circa 1980s. The room needed a face lift but I imagine the hotel chain will not invest in upgrades. Will look for newer properties in the future.
