Clean rooms and bathrooms had bathtubs

Too much movement outside in the middle of the night. We didn’t feel safe so we had to leave in the middle of the night

They canceled when asked despite Booking system messing up

Absolutely nothing. Truly horrible experience.

I was greeted by a 12 year old girl. Requested non-smoking was told it was. Paid for the room, and when I opened the door, the smoking smell was atrocious! The bathroom was dirty, along with previous occupants' garbage, etc. When I went back to the office, stating I wouldn't be staying there and listing my reasons for complaint - the young girl had to call someone to be able to do a refund. Some 20 minutes later, the final blow was "it'll be 10 days before the $ is charged back". Horrible.

The second room I was given was clean and comfortable. There was a good supermarket across the road.

In the first room I was given the toilet backed up on the first use. Clearly no one had checked it before. I requested and was given a second room which was OK. In my reservation several weeks ago I requested a ground floor room. However, on arrival they had forgotten about this and only rooms on the next floor up were available. This meant I had to carry my bicycle and luggage up a staircase, but no apology or partial refund was offered. There was no fridge or microwave in the room. Most US motel rooms now have both, but not Motel 6, it seems.
