We enjoyed our stay! We had 4 families with children and my mom and we had plenty of room to hang out and spread out. The heated pool and hot tub were perfect for the kids and late night swims. We enjoyed how close we were to the beach and the bay... a quick walk across the street to the beach. The area was quiet and serene and the stay exceeded our expectations.

We loved this house! The size was perfect for our large group. The heated pool and hot tub were awesome and views off the decks were amazing. There was so much space and the kitchen was stocked with plenty of dishes and silverware. Having two washers and dryers was perfect! When we had an issue with the hot tub the property communicated promptly and Dave came over and fixed it right away! He was great☺ We will definitely be back!

It was a wonderful home away for our family. Plenty of room for us all. The kitchen had everything we needed. LOVED the 2 washers & dryers! Dave was there when we needed him. We spent lots of time in the pool and hot tub. The ocean views were beautiful. The area is well worth visiting..

This beach house was absolutely perfect. Big, updated, and the views were stunning. The pool and hot tub were also a big hit!

Roomy , spacious, beautiful views, kitchen is well stocked for cooking, dual grills is great for a large group and then water access plus pool and hot tub make for an amazing getaway. Highly recommended!

We absolutely loved this house!! It was very clean and spacious! I wish we could manage to make it an annual trip but we will definitely be back!!

The kitchen is not fully stocked to have enough for the amount of ppl that could stay there. Specially not enough cups or forks. Things are arranged very oddly in the kitchen. Felt like we were searching more than anything. The ice maker on the fridge couldn’t keep up. The toilet in the master bathroom upstairs leaks. The WiFi isn’t good it was very spotty which was hard when some still needed to make work calls. The door to the balcony in the bunk room upstairs wouldn’t open. The balcony doors in the master bedroom leaked and had puddles when it rained. It also leaked around the windows in the downstairs bunk room and around the windows in the dinning room. The pool and hot tub was probably the worst they were the reason we rented the house. It wasn’t heated when we got there even though I paid extra for it. The hot tub never really got hot. The pool was good then the maintenance ppl came and it was cold again for like 2 days before they came out and fixed it again and it got warmer but the hot tub is not hot! I guess that is the biggest issue I had because we paid extra for that! The beds were not great! Some of the outside chairs are broken. We had a nice time but wouldn’t stay here again like it is. The kitchen is definitely big so that’s good and it has a pantry to put stuff. We all loved the couch it was bug enough for almost all of us!!

If this was my house or rental property I would like these things fixed or addressed to give the property that extra it needs to be better then others and keep the wow going after you look through the place and start to see some imperfections. The inside is good. It could use a fresh coat of paint, carpet shampoo and some tender love and care. Several lightbulbs, both outside and inside need replacement. The deck around the pools need to be sanded and sealed. I would recommend water shoes around the pool for there is a good chance of splinters. Also some deck boards are loose. An upgrade idea for the rental company... place some plexiglass under the railings on the spindles or in place of them to help block the wind. Also insulate the hot tub, pool, and pipes to make them more efficient. (could reduce the $50 per day charge to have it heated in winter) The decks, front & back, near the house could use a good pressure washing and sealing. Several doors’ hardware could use some attention. Either rusted where replacement is needed or some lubrication to ease operation and slow the rusting from the sea salt in the air.There is some storm damage to the houses siding and the back board walk and deck all washed away. I understand that takes time for the insurance to get their things done and schedule a contractor that has an opening to fit the job into their schedule and replace it. Another suggestion for the rental company... have a guest book of sorts and allow prior guests to leave a note for the next guests about some of their experiences and tidbits on the island or area. All in all we enjoyed our stay and there is plenty of room for larger families. The house has what we needed for our stay.

The location is breathtaking--excellent water views! The home is spacious and has great amenities. The public beach is within walking distance. The owners were very responsive and helpful; quickly addressing any immediate needs. However, cleanliness could be much better and the house is due for some repairs and general maintenance. There was some outside damage caused by a recent hurricane but it was not a major inconvenience. Tip: You may want to consider stocking up on supplies before leaving the mainland as options are limited on the island.

We loved coming to the west end of Dauphin Island. We were amazed that the property was in such great shape after all of the hurricanes/storms this past season. Our family loved the pool and the first two days the pool was heated and everyone had so much fun. Even though the boardwalk had been damaged by the hurricane, we enjoyed trekking out to both sides of the island, looking for seashells and enjoying the beauty of the water. The kitchen was wonderful, we had plenty of seating and dishes and utensils. When we asked for a toaster, we received it. The internet did not work well, it could have been from the storms. The house could use a really good scrubbing and windexing to get ready for the new year. We loved the space, the location, and the overall ambiance!! Thanks, Dauphin Island Rentals!!

Property is dated. Needs some TLC. But over all suited our needs. Had plumbing issues and it was handled quickly. Heating of pool can not occur if outside temp is too low. So did not have this for the kids. Payment was refunded with no issues.

The house is amazing, lots of room and an excellent floor plan. The location beautiful. I cant wait to take my 7 grandbabies!!!House needs a good cleaning and a few repairs.

The house was as listed. Pool was a huge hit with the kids. Dauphin Island, as always, a wonderful escape. The house needs a lot of maintenance! The cleanliness of the house left a lot to be desired. One of the boards on the pool deck is ready to collapse. We had to warn the kids several times to not step on it. There was a large hole in the Sheetrock in the very tiny bunk room. The lower mattresses on the double bunks were almost unusable! We had two adults who were forced to sleep on them. The house held twelve of us with no problem.

The house was perfect for are large group. The kitchen was stocked with all the essential tools fir cooking. There is a huge pantry for dry goods as well as a grill. The kids and adults loved the pool. The house is on the bayside, your able to walk out a good distance and still be able to touch. The manager was very nice and stayed in touch to answer any questions. Huge living room great for movie nights. Tons of seating in the dining areas. Rooms are very nice with plenty of beds for a large group.

We rented the house in September 2019 for our stay the first week in March. We chose this house because it had a heated pool. Two days before our check in, I was informed the pool heater was broken. This was quite disappointing, since we had been talking about the pool and all the fun it would be for almost 6 months. The heater did not get fixed while we were there. Our pool heat cost was refunded and they did give a 15% refund. The layout of the house was great. We had 8 adults and 4 grandkids Plenty of room for all of us. The location of the house was very nice. Quiet and a nice view. The house could use some tlc. Also, more towels would have been nice, barely enough for the 12 people we had. There were lots of dirty dishes and silverware. The dishwasher must not work well, but whoever put them away should have checked to be sure they were clean. The management company was very nice to work with. One of our family members broke his foot on Friday night. The emergency response on the island was excellent. A few of us spent Friday night in the ER. We were to check out on Saturday at 10 am. I texted Adam on the management team at 3 am from the ER asking if a later checkout time would be possible. He kindly agreed. We checked out at noon whicih was helpful. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

No problem with renting. Whenever I called while there Adam answered & was very helpful. I would stay at the Island Dream home again.

Very nice and room enough for the entire family

We had an awesome experience eight adults and seven kids definitely plenty of room for everyone ! The hot tub and a swimming pool was a very special touch!

Just returned from a week long stay at Island Dream with our extended family; 8 adults, 3 teenagers and 2 seven year olds. We had a great time on Dauphin Island, enjoying the outdoors and all that the island offers. It is a great place to unplug and reconnect. While there was some work being done on the island stemming from flooding from Hurricane Michael, it did not interfere with our vacation fun. The house offered LOTS of space, plenty of room for dining (inside & out) and the kitchen was very well stocked for cooking. Having access to both the beach & the sound was a huge plus. The adults and kids all enjoyed fishing, crab trapping, kayaking, paddle boarding, lounging by the pool & on the beach, and just sitting on the decks soaking in the views. The only issues we had were with the pool & hot tub. We had requested the pool be heated, but due to electrical issues, the heater was never operational (due to the weather being warmer than was expected, this was a non-issue and the rental company promptly refunded the heating fee as soon as notified). The jets in the hot tub were not operational during most of our stay, and the lights for night time enjoyment of the pool/hot tub went out as well. It was assumed all issues stemmed from the same electrical problems; none of which put a real damper on our vacation. The rental company and pool maintenance folks were very responsive to our calls and provided prompt service. Overall, I highly recommend the Island Dream for a large group. It offers all you could possibly want for your vacation!

Overall the house and experience was Great. I will say the island isn't layed out the best, house are just put up where ever they fit. No rhyme or reason to where houses are. The house is clean and spacious, the beds are comfortable. We cooked almost every meal and there was acquit cooking utensils and plates/cups. House sits with a deck to the water, with the rear of the house facing Mobile. We had a group of 11 total with 4 being kids and 2 of them under 2. We stayed in February 2018. We choose not to heat the pool, as we were uncertain as to how well the pool would stay heated. We had delightful weather. Sunny and 65 most days. The hot tub was not functional when we arrived, as they had lots of rain prior to our arrival, which lead to the circuit breaker for the hot tub to trip. I called up our contact and they had someone over promptly to get it on. It did take a bit to warm up, about 8 hours. The only hiccups we had were this. Power loss and Gas for grill running out. The power outage was due to the power company having to do updates to their system, and was out of the rentals control. We were notified and were able to make plans accordingly. The gas for the grill ran out the first day we grilled. We went and refilled the tank.

Beautiful house you can sit on the front porch and watch the ocean roll in or sit on the back porch and watch the bay roll in. Very relaxing. The kitchen was spacious and very well stocked with all supplies to cook with. Will rent again.

This house was big, clean, and the perfect location for some R & R. Our family enjoyed fishing from the dock, swimming in the pool and bay, and the spacious rooms. Beach access was a short drive away, as well as a local grocery chain and some casual dining spots. Took the kids to the estuarium and everyone enjoyed. Only complaint from everyone who stayed was the need for new mattresses. Living room could have used some more seating and a coffee table also. Would recommend this house to anyone staying with multiple families. Loved it! Hope to plan another stay here soon.

This house and location were perfect for our family reunion with children, spouses, and grandchildren. The people at Dauphin Island rentals were very responsive when we had something that needed attention. They even replaced the pump and motor on the hot tub because the jets would not continue to work. There were plenty of spaces for dining together including the picnic-type table in the kitchen for the children. We went to the estuarium in town and enjoyed all of the interactive activities for the children very much. We would say that for a house of this price, the beds left something to be desired. The bunk beds (which parents and children in our family used) had very thin mattresses and were not comfortable. The dishwasher did not clean nor dry the dishes adequately. The gas grill would not heat evenly. We felt that it would be nice to have more seating in the living room given it was the only common space where everyone could gather. Only 3 of the 6 jets worked in the Jacuzzi tub in the master suite. But overall, we were grateful for a house with a hot tub and heated pool that was very close to the beaches on both the North and South sides of the island.

The house is HUGE and beautiful! We had an amazing time and had more than enough room for the 13 adults & children who stayed. I would definitely stay here again!
