we had some issues with flight cancellations with Air Traffic Control the day before flying so had to amend our check in/out dates etc. the hotel staff (Montse) was brilliant & very accommodating to our needs. small, clean, no frills hotel - memory foam mattress, Aircon & mini fridge was excellent & very welcome. Good location for Tutti Frutti Sq (if clubbing is your thing!) local shops, restaurants & tapas bars, & short walk into the Balcon area & Torrecilla beach (limited sea view from our room). your right in the heart of the Town & our room overlooked the street, but we didn’t hear any street noise at all. i was also able to log in to Netflix😀

not much to dislike for the price! some very minor points… could probably have done with tea/coffee in the room. the TV didn’t appear to have any English language options (even though I’m used to being able to change some of the dubbed programs on a modern tv)

The location was perfect , just a short walk to all the tapas bars and restaurants ,also a short walk to Torricella beach ,the bed was comfortable,the room was quiet and the air conditioning was the quietest we have ever had

As I have mentioned good things about the room ,the downside was it wasn't as big as we expected

It is a very basic hotel with good location. You can reach every point of Nerja on foot: beaches, shopping streets, night life. The premises and the area were clean and safe.

Hotel looks quiet old, the smell of detergent was pretty irritating. It required an effort to find a parking lot in the neighborhood (at the end of September), not possible though. When I kept balcony door open it was very noisy till the late night.

I stayed here for the first four days of my trip around Andalucia so that I could spend some time with my daughter who was staying at the best hotel in the centre of town for a couple of weeks. I needed somewhere with easy free parking, and much cheaper !!!! Hostal Alhambra gave me all that - a comfortable room, a good deal and, other than on the Virgen del Carmen holiday, parking in the streets close to the hotel. It’s a short walk to the Balcon de Europa, the shops and the best restaurants in town, although there’s plenty of choice in the local area. Café Bar Olé Olé is underneath the hotel and there is decent tapas bar just round the corner. My double-bedded room was a good size, looked out into a pleasant internal courtyard, had a smallish wardrobe and free safe. The bathroom was a good size with a cubicle larger than most. There was a problem with the pipework under the sink when I arrived. Water leaked out dramatically from most of the joints. I tightened it all up as best I could and, having reported it to the housekeeper, it was fixed by the time I returned. All the staff were chatty, efficient, helpful and very friendly and I’m delighted to say that the hotel was exactly what they said it would be and exactly what I was looking for.

a rooftop terrace and breakfast restaurant would be great additions. doesn’t mean we didn’t like the hotel, those additions would make it even better than it is.

Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room had excellent air conditioning and bathroom facilities. The location of Hostel Alhambra is very close to Nerja Town centre, with a huge selection of bars and restaurants less than a 5 minute walk away. I'll definitely stay again, Muchas gracias ☀️🇪🇸

I couldn't fault anything.

Great hotel, staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our room was left spotless every day. Location is great, less than 5 minutes walk to the beach and a 10 minute walk to Balcon de Europa.

The staff was very nice and gave us excellent suggestions to explore the city. The room was very clean and the bathroom was big.

We had troubles to sleep because we could hear the noise from the other rooms as if the other guests were in our own room. We asked to change the room and they didn't have another available unless we had to pay for a higher price.

My room fully met my needs. It felt secure, staff were very responsive, everything worked, there was an easy to use safe, it was comfortable, clean and was an excellent location. I also had a sea view from my balcony, which was a bonus.

Apartment was well positioned, in a very safe and pleasant area. Beds were extremely comfortable, and everything was very clean

Some minor touches could add to the overall experience i.e improved quality of sofa with perhaps an additional seat in lounge area. Additional storage in bedrooms / draws would have been very welcome.

The hotel was so well kept, my room was beautiful and so clean. It had everything I needed and the staff were so friendly. Its location is great especially for the beach.

Always had bit of a sniffy attitude about spain... a friend of mine said "you havent given it a chance" he was right. Hostal Alhambra changed all that!! What a place Nerja is, the people that live in Nerja are so friendly, warm and welcoming... Needless to say, I/we will return!! Best of wishes, Hugh and Georgie. XX

Room was very clean. Staff couldn't do enough to help. Excellent location - within walking distance to shops, restaurants, bars and the beach. Great value for money, would definitely stay here again.
