Nice relaxing sea view (view only though, bathing not possible). Kitchen and whole place very well equipped with everything you can think of,. Attentive and highly professional management and hotel-style cleaning.

A few things a bit outdated/worn/not really neat throughout the place but still in good working order. Bathing is hardly possible due to the heavy stone-coverage of the lagoon.

The Villa is in a great location - so comfortable Nd many areas to relax and enjoy the beautiful view and scenery. The staff were so friendly & helpful. the kitchen is well stocked with utensils/ bowls. the bbq facilities are great.

we actually loved White Oak villas as the location is great, the pool area is lovely, the staff are pleasant and helpful and we have stayed here before (in a different villa in 2018) which prompted us to book here again, but …. (see comments below)

the villa we stayed in on this occasion needs upkeep- the stove worked erratically, the fridge sometimes froze items (milk, soda, cheese, ham, etc) solid on some days but not others, water pressure was poor most of the time and sometimes we had no hot water or very little water making showering or flushing the toilet difficult, there was a bad smell (seemingly from the drains) in the kitchen, it was impossible to open the windows in one room. The worst was that extensive renovations were being done (for the full 2 weeks of our stay) on the villa next door to us - the noise was unpleasant, it was unpleasant having workers in the garden/pool area, etc. When we raised this with management (as, had we been made aware of the renovations at the time of making the booking, we would not have booked the villa - and I do feel strongly that people should be made aware of when renovations are being done especially in a “luxury” complex so that they can make an informed choice of whether to still make the booking or to look for alternative Accomodation - we were offered an upstairs apartment with no patio but this was not really suitable as we had specifically wanted and booked a villa (for various personal reasons) and anyway, moving would not have changed the noise/workers in the pool/garden area).

The property was very spacious and was near the sea. The swimming pool was deep enough and enjoyable.

Although I had paid for and asked for a sea facing villa, the property was not sea facing, it was garden/pool facing. It was also very dark inside. I was asked to pay extra for a beach front villa which was not what we had asked for. Although there were sea facing villas available, we were not allowed to move. We had to sit in the veranda outside to see the sea. The furniture is dated and needs upgrading. Curtains are broken or soiled. There were flies and bugs in the villa including cockroaches, lizards and droppings. There were ants in the cupboards. We also had mice entering the villa so could not leave the doors open. This was a problem as the only dining table was outside on the veranda. The photos of the Villas on the website did not represent the actual villas. Some of the villas (including the one next to us) are being renovated- this caused a lot of noise and dust with workers walking on the grounds all the time. No information was provided on this prior to reaching the villa. This totally spoiled the experience.

A peaceful and well organised villa in a quiet location. The helpful manager and friendly staff made our holiday a truly memorable experience. A safe and professional airport transfer rounded off our stress free time here. I would recommend renting a car at the resort - it is cheaper and perfectly arranged. Food can be bought nearby in supermarkets or you can eat in few local restaurants. We spent six weeks here and still didn't want to go back to Europe! A great place for families or friends and also a safe starting point for car trips around Mauritius. Our favourite activity was day trips to the many interesting places on the island.

Check in was seamless given that we arrived so late (after 10pm). The next day the manager came to check in and ensured the Wi-Fi was working (this was a real concern for me as the previous reviews said the Wi-Fi was bad and I needed to work but the Wi-Fi was excellent and I had a full working day with no interruptions. The apartment is well equipped! Close to a supermarket. Raykha (the cleaning lady) was super efficient, friendly and did a great job everyday! The walk on the beach is lovely. Amazing quiet area! Close to everything you need!

The lack of blinds on the veranda and inadequate aircon in the living area, meant you could not use the patio from midday or sit in the living area. Was far too hot even into the evening. This could be easily addressed.

Beachfront, air conditioner, value for money, pool, cleanliness, professionalism of staff and the list could go on.

House rules: 8-8pm pool use. we could start using the pool at sunrise. about 6:00 am.

Everything was very good in this place. Apartment is spacious, fully equipped. Very comfortable to travel with children. Pool has a wonderful view and the water is so worm you could swim there all day!

The entire week at White Oaks Villa completely exceeded our expectations. I had spent the first few days of my trip at an all-inclusive 5 star resort, and I went to White Oaks Villa with lowered expectations, expecting it not to be as beautiful… I WAS WRONG. The location is perfect to beautiful nearby beaches, the villa itself has a pool that my partner could not get enough of, there were a variety of restaurants within walking distance, the staff was exceptional and caring - our cleaning lady, Rekha, deserves honourable mention because she went above and beyond her job, and made our stay as comfortable and memorable as possible. The villa transfer to and from the airport was perfect. The taxi driver we somehow managed to get for the entire trip was always willing to help, and always made us feel safe and comfortable. Altogether a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back!

The only negative I have is that the wifi was incredibly weak. I had assignments, online lectures and online tests that I needed to complete and the wifi did not allow me the opportunity to do so in the allocated time.

We were in villa 2 and we enjoyed the stay very much. The villa is huge. The ground floor has an open living room / kitchen which extends to the large terace, a small extra room, and a bathroom. The huge terace is well protected (we could even stay outside during the cyclone) and has several places where you can sit. There was also a Weber barbecue which was cleaned daily. The first floor had 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom had also a walk-in wardrobe and a big bathroom. The master bedroom and the second bedroom had their own balcony with a view to the see. The third bedroom had 2 single beds. The first floor was equipped very nicely and the beds were very comfortable. The maid came daily for cleaning the house and taking care of the dishes. The area consists of 10 villas. 2 of them were split into 2 appartments each. The others were rented completely. The villas are located within a guarded area. There is one parking place per villa. The pool is great and there is a georgeous view at the sea. The manager makes a great job. Feedback about a problen with the dishwasher and the balcony door were handled as quickly as possible. There are plenty of towels available for the bathroom but also for the beach. Bed linen was changed on a regular basis. The area is suited for children and despite of the fact that many visitors were there with children it was pretty quiet. The villas provide enough privacy. We had a free transport of our son to the airport. The villas were located not too far from our favourite beach, the Mont Choicy public beach. There is also a supermarket at a 5 minutes drive away. Besides of the villa area there is a good restaurant. All in all we had a great stay and we can recommend this place.

Because of the rocks the beach cannot be used for bathing or swimming. We knew this and it was okay since we planned to go to our beach by car anyway. A car is strongly suggested so that you are flexible. There are Trou aux Biches and Mont Choicy beach at a distance of a 5-10 minutes drive. Alternatively you can use busses which go very frequently and are very cheap. We used busses several years ago by ourselves and this works well. You could enter the sea at a hotel beach about 50 metres away. However we did not like the water there. You also have to deal with insects (ants, flies, moscitos, ...) This is expected in a prosperous country like Mauritius. We don't like the alternative like using insecticide, ... The villas are rented on a by person rate, not by villa. For a third person you have to pay extra. The extra rate is lower than the base price though. We knew this and the uplift is reasonable. You cannot book a specific villa through booking.com. You will be assigned to one of the 3-bedroom villas. This means the photos at booking.com may not match the interieur of the actual villa you get. We had also a discussion because we initially would had to be reassigned to a 2-bedroom villa. After some discussions this could be resolved and we got our 3-bedroom villa. This was important for us since we knew that our son may come or not and we wanted to have much space. The internet quality was mixed. It got worse in the evening. I knew that in advance and had a local SIM from my.t. my.t works well from that location. EMTEL doesn't work so well there and the villas are equipped with it. This is important for me because I work remotely. I actually had local SIMs from both providers which provided me good coverage in any case. When we arrived the cover sheets of the pillows of the couch and the couch chairs on the terace were very dirty. We had to put them into the washing machine. I would suggest to advise the cleaning staff to check this.

The villa was a very good size, extremely well equipped with a lovely generous welcome package. They all have an exceptional view and the pool is a good size and lovely temperature.
