We had a lovely family weekend away in Mangawhai. The accommodation was spacious and suited our needs with our adult children each having their own space. Loved the pizza oven - we made yummy pizzas. Beautiful views and a great open plan living area to share our time. Lots to do and explore with awesome beaches nearby. Definitely recommend.

The property was fantastic and was as expected from the listing. Amazing view which gave a great first impression. Family were very happy with the find when they arrived from AKL. The description of location for arrival was accurate and when it says the drive is steep, it is VERY steep both up and down and took some getting used to- not for nervous drivers. The oven top was induction which is great technology but only works with certain pans (we have induction at home) so not all pans worked and was a bit frustrating when trying to cook a meal. Lost a star for cleanliness as our bedroom (Master on the living rom level) had lots of squashed mosquitos on the ceiling that hadn't been cleaned. Otherwise, fantastic few days away.

Great place to stay. Excellent views of the harbor and sea. Making use of the wood BBQ and Pizza oven just make the experience even better.

Excellent location and beautiful views. Easy walk to estuary. Good house for families with teenagers as can have entire lower floor. A few things would be helpful to add like an outdoor umbrella, no shade on deck so would be beneficial I have this available. I did contact the property manager to ask if there was a deck umbrella somewhere but just told sure go ahead and use but we couldn’t find it, so asked again, got no reply. Oven gloves and clothes pegs woukd be useful. There’s a table tennis table there but bring your own ping pong balls as there were none available. The games room clearly hasn’t been cleaned in some time, was very dusty. Also no hanging space. Wardrobe in main bedroom had dismantled drawers so no space and room on mid level had wardrobe full of baby gear. These are all minor issues but when you’re paying peak prices and staying for 10 days these are things that are expected.

Great house and layout for 2 families with teenagers. Plenty of space for everybody to relax & hang out. Well equipped with comfy beds & fabulous coffee machine.

We enjoyed this family Bach for our week in Northland. Highlights were R&R charters, a 5 min walk to the boat ramp & amazing view from property. Plenty of room & privacy when travelling with family.

We really enjoyed the property and the great views, great to have the fire place on a cold night and crank the pizza oven up with few vinos whilst the sun goes down. Next morning wake to the sun coming up over the beach with a coffee then a Head to the beach for a morning walk.

A beautifully equipped holiday home, amazing estuary views with thoughtful extras. We enjoyed being able to use the outdoor pizza oven.

We loved our stay here, so spacious with everything you need. The split levels with multiple living spaces, bathrooms on each level, heat pumps in each bedroom and lounge made for such a comfortable space. And the view just tops off this lovely home, you really feel at home here. We used the pizza oven, grill and BBQ, your entertaining options are endless. We cannot wait to come back it really felt like a home away from home you even had the option of a pod machine or espresso machine, spoilt for choice! We traveled with our 15month old and they have a cot, high chair and a few toys and books as well. We recommend this lovely home to anyone who is considering it.

Excellent property with three levels giving separation between couples. Pizza oven is a great bonus and well worth the effort to fire up.

Beautiful property on 3 levels with amazing views of the sandbar. Great for 2 families with the added bonus of the kids having their own floor.

This property is modern with everything we needed. The views are amazing and we spent hours in the evenings just taking in the view. The kids loved the short walk to the camp ground shop for an ice cream and it was only a short walk to the beach. We loved body boarding down the dune at the nearby surf beach but it was really busy during the day so we had to time it for the evening. The layout of the property was great for our two families with a master bedroom and ensuite on the top floor, large double room and bathroom on the main floor and another double room, bathroom and large area with bunks on the bottom floor. The driveway is steep and there isn't much room so it isn't suitable for parking a boat. We knew this when we booked so decided not to bring our boat.

Fantastic stay! Views are spectacular you just can’t beat this position. Walk to Surf Beach, shops, estuary beach and jetty. So spacious. Thanks for having us again we will be back!

Loved our stay in this incredible bach. Lots of space for bigger groups with a stunning view. Even though we had wild weather the open plan entertaining area provided us with all the space we needed to enjoy our time catching up. Great location, one hell of a driveway!

Ideal for a family getaway. We had 3 couples and could spread out over 3 floors each with own bathroom. Lovely views, though the hedge was too tall and obscured some of the view from the lounge. Great pizza oven and very well equipped home. Had a small issue with communication at check in but that was sorted and we enjoyed our stay.Would recommend for large families/groups.

A really great place to stay. The views are amazing. Looking down over the camp ground and estuary and over to Little Barrier. Three levels each with their bathroom and decks so room for everyone. A short walk down the path to the water. BBQ and Pizza oven are a bonus.

Our house was setup well for a large group with a number of different living spaces. House was clean and property manager was thorough and really informative.
