The hotel was excellent. It was an Oasis in a very bad location in the Costa Brava. if this hotel was in a better location it would be amazing.

I booked a room for one person, but my friend that lived in Barcelona managed to get her days off so she joined me. I right away asked if I could add another person for breakfast and pool area. Breakfast was fine for payment, pool area was not. I had payed for the room so she joined me there as the normal is, I pay for room not for 1 or 2 persons (the room was smaller than the others but still expensive). After 3 days I asked to pay for lunch for two persons, then the same grumpy girl (Gloria) said they know someone was living with me and that I need to speak to the manager, and they decided to charge me extra even we did not use the pool for this days and did not bother any other guests. They made me feel like a criminal. With that said, the lunch was overpriced (17euro) and not very good, they took away everything that reminded of drinks, even the water - so you had to pay for it. Most expensive soda in all of Malgrat (more than 3 euro for a small bottle). I tried the spa area (that you need to pay extra for), and even I went in the morning the water was very dirty with lot of old hair and mud, the beds there was dirty and the sauna was more black of dirt than white. The balcony had view of a big parkingspace, and the closest hotel with waterslides for children, so it was screaming all day and no chance of relaxing. The gym had equipment that was not working. And 3 of the days I checked and the pool area was full with no empty sunchairs. I stayed for 5 days, and during that time the cleaners did not change the bedsheets once, they only fixed the one we where using. If you go there, stay away from Gloria (and another girl, maybe hotel manager) as they are far from nice, and earning money is all they care. Never smiling and not making the best for their guests. With that said the male workers was indeed very friendly, espesially the poolboy and an older man in the resption. But this hotel is all about making money :/

Despite their being a sign about not reserving sunbeds this was a common occurrence every morning. Beds in the room were not the comfiest.

A few people were getting a bit too romantic in the swimming pool.to put it politely.

The hotel has everything we needed. They were able to prolong our stay on a short notice and provided us with upgraded rooms for the same price. Staff are very professional and are always there to help

Food was great but we expected a bit more variety of meals for breakfast.

The pool was amazing and the morning dance class was a lot of fun. Hotel was an easy walk from the train station.

The room was a little tight once the beds were spread apart.

Everything! Location is great (a couple of minutes walk to the beach, 10 minutes walk to the train station, 1h20 to Barcelona by train, 40-50m by car). The hotel is very clean and modern, rooms are cleaned, bedding, towels are changed every day. There is a great variety of food in the restaurant, plenty of fish and seafood, every day is different menu. Swimming pool area is very cozy and clean. Balcony is spacious (we had a nice sea view). I chose this hotel second time because could not find better hotel than this one!

Although watermelons, melons, pineapples are served every day (and they were tasty), variety of other types of fruit is less during the week (e.g. peaches, nectarines, apricots were at the weekend only).

Nice hotel with very friendly staff, very clean rooms, nice swimming pools, good food and good cocktails at the bar. We had a junior suite with a very nice design.

The hotels facilities were excellent and the pool area in particular was fantastic.

The pools and pool area and bar were excellent. So were the restaurant, bar and buffet breakfast and dinner.

It was nothing to do with the Hotel but the general area of Malgrat de Mar is very run down.
