very attractive property with lovely gardens & pool in a lovely peaceful location but only a few minutes walk from the village centre. good parking facilities. staff were friendly & effective.

water pressure in the showers was poor

Smallest hotel room I have stayed in, limited facility including parking spaces, but surprisingly decent size shower room and comfortable bed. 2 doors in room 1 that opens right out to the pool, poolside furniture was little worse for wear and no cushion's, I used room pillows to make chairs comfy. Bar closed so no poolside cocktails for us, restaurant closed so no breakfast or any food, with no kitchen or any where to prepare or keep food for even a snack or sandwich wasn't great! Although we found a shop and couple place to eat near by. The staff are nice although very limited English spoken as is my French! The island is differently worth a visit.

We arrived and found that our room wasn't set up for 3 separate beds as we had asked for...we pulled out the trundle from the twin and slept as we wished. The next day they fixed it properly.

The host was a bit crabby and we were tired. The next day was much better. The location is excellent for walking to a restaurant and bakery and well as shopping for food.

Bed was comfortable and room clean. Good swimming pool.

Water and toiletries supplied on arrival were not renewed (7 night stay). Many smokers around the pool. Reception/ bar closed at 8 pm. Local restaurants were not open every evening. Outside areas were too brightly lit all night.

The director was very good especially with cyclists.

Nice quiet area with friendly staff. The breakfast was varied and plentiful. The room was clean and although small was adequate for a two night stay.

We booked a room which said private toilet which was in fact outside the room. Not a huge problem but make sure you are aware before booking

No air con, we did know this however we did not expect the room to be so hot at night. Could not open the windows due to mosquitoes and no inset screens. All rooms overlook the pool which is nice but can be noisy.

We had a very pleasant stay. The staff were friendly, the breakfast was very good and varied and the pool area was lovely and relaxing. The room was tastefully decorated and we had a balcony overlooking the pool. Sainte-Marie is much smaller and quieter than Saint Martin so it was nice to see both.

The hotel is lovely and quiet, surrounded by beautiful plants and flowers. It has a lovely courtyard where you can eat breakfast. Nice small pool. We stayed here after a week at Le Bois as a ‘top up’ to our holiday and before we got on a plane back to England. The staff went above and beyond to be helpful. They accommodated us allowing us to store our luggage all day, have a shower etc at the end of the day after we had already checked out. They were really friendly and sweet with our little girl. The breakfast is top quality. Homemade jams, crepes, lots of different choices and all really fresh- by far the best we have had in a hotel for many years! Thanks so much for a great stay!

Great location close to a town square with some lovely restaurants, a baker and close to a bus stop to get around the island via bus. Great swimming pool and fantastic breakfast buffet

The bicycle storage facilities were a little cramped and there wasn’t provision for us to recharge our electric bikes so we were left with charging and storing our bikes in our room.

We had a lovely room which lead directly out onto the pool terrace, the surroundings were very pleasant and a good choice was to be had at breakfast. We were on a cycle touring holiday and there was a secure place for us to leave our bicycles. We were given lots of information by the proprietor about places to go etc in the area. Sainte Marie de Re is one of the quieter towns on the island but no less charming for that. Bar Quai is an excellent place to eat.

We had a bit of a rocky start when we turned up at reception with our bicycles (not appropriate apparently) however we had booked in advance and informed the hotel that we were travelling by bicycle, all was soon resolved and we had an excellent stay and would definitely return.
