The property was above and beyond my expectations We absolutely loved the house and enjoyed that our nieces and nephew were able to stay with us. The upstairs loft area gave our bridal ladies the privacy they wanted. The porch area was wonderful to go out on and enjoy the mountain air and the elk that pass through! We enjoyed every minute and appreciated the effort in touching base with us from homeowner. We made great memories!! Thanks for sharing this beautiful home with us.

We had four couples stay in the cabin and had four others visiting every day. It was wonderful space to enjoy each other inside and out. It was beautiful and very comfortable. It couldn't have been more perfect for our family. The Elk and Deer were an extra treat! Absolutely beautiful accommodations.

Our stay was incredible! We had children from 2 to 29 and there was plenty of room for everyone. The amenities were perfect. We could not have asked for anything else. The deck was our favorite hang out spot. Don’t run to the creek thinking it’s all grass! It’s water,,, so we retrieved some shoes. Good times! The owner is a great guy and always willing to help. We will be back!

This is a perfect vacation spot. The cabin is beautiful, functional, and in a perfect setting. It's peaceful and private, but close to shopping, restaurants and hiking. Best backyard deck we've ever seen--an ideal spot to read, relax, and enjoy nature (deer, elk and birds). The host is incredibly helpful and nice. If we could give it 6 stars, we would!

An amazing getaway. We didn't leave the property except for food. The children fed the deer and watched the elk. Amazing experience for a stress getaway and family memories. This was our second trip and the Wright's make you feel like part of their family.

Our family really enjoys this home. our entire family goes... 6 adults, 5 kids (ages 1-12) and a Shitzu + a Boston terrier. The home is large enough for everyone to have a bedroom. The master has it's own shower & bath. The back deck is spacious and is where most of our family time is spent. Two heaters and a fireplace overlook a secluded backyard where there is a small stream. We usually see deer and elk. The deck is large enough for everyone to be out there with room to spare. At one end are steps to a small grass/dirt area for the doggies to do their business. The home is convenient to downtown Ruidoso and within 10 minutes of places where you can make donations to the local tribe (casinos) or watch the horses race (Ruidoso Downs). It is located on a cul-de-sac making it safe for the kids to ride bikes and play. This is our third stay. They should say it all. Thanks Shannan for sharing our property.

If your looking for the perfect place to stay ,this is it! The house is located in a quiet neighborhood that feels secluded but a few mins away from the stores and shopping! The owner Shannan goes above and beyond for anything you need or any questions you may have. The house has everything you would need and is spacious and beautifully decorated. If you have anyone that may have trouble with stairs like my mom, she was able to get into the house via front door or garage as there is only a few steps. Not too many homes let you park in the garage ,but here we were able to and it was great!! All rooms are on the main floor for anyone with mobility issues. There is a spacious loft that's great for kids or anyone that wants to hang out. The patio is amazing to sit out on day or night with the whole family. There is a small fenced in area that is perfect for pets as well. Everyday we were there Elk and deer would come up to the house and the ducks would swim in the little river below, it was heavenly. The beds are very comfy and there is plenty of extra bedding and pillows for all the guest. It's a spacious home that is perfect for any family wanting to be together and make memories! We will for sure be back!!!!

This cabin is absolutely beautiful! It has the feel of a cozy cabin deep in the woods but is minutes from town. Perfect for a large family! Gorgeous and peaceful place!

We absolutely loved this home, perfect location! We had deer and elk come up it was more than what we expected and ate so glad we got to make beautiful memories there! Shannon was alway available for any questions or concerns!

This home is perfect for a large family with room to move around. Plenty of sleeping as well as room for indoor activities. Location is great with lots of deer and elk roaming around. We even had the wild horses in the yard this trip. If you have a pet the small fenced yard is perfect for them as well. I highly recommend this home.

I want to start by saying that Shannan is an incredible host. We had a personal issue just 3 days before checking in and he didn’t hesitate to work with us, thank you Shannan. He answered his phone immediately and helped us with everything we needed during our stay. The cabin is amazing. Truly like a second home instead of a rental property. Located in a wonderful neighborhood and great for the kids to play outside, in the huge covered deck or inside in the upstairs loft. We woke up with over 20 elks one morning just in front of our deck. The kids loved feeding them…. They were so closed we were able to touch their noses. There was lots of snow one day and we had no issues driving around the neighborhood even though we don’t have a 4x4 car. It’s a very relaxing place for adults, like a retreat but very close to downtown Ruidoso. Downtown Ruidoso is pretty cute. If you don’t plan to ski, skip this part…. Things to consider that are not related to the cabin but to Ski Apache specifically. They don’t have ski in ski out which makes the cabin a perfect option. You are really close to the bottom of the road that takes you to the ski lifts and then about 8 miles driving up the mountain. If you plan to ski, make sure you either have a 4x4 car or chains to go up the mountain. We couldn’t get up one day. Chains for our car were very expensive so we decided not to go. Also, check Ski Apache hours of operation. We didn’t realize they are closed during the week, they’re only opened during weekends starting January 2nd which is not what other resorts do and we didn’t know. Ski Apache doesn’t sell anything online but they have a store downtown a Ruidoso you might want to take advantage of. I recommend stopping by their shop in town to by lift tickets and rentals. The lines up at the mountain are very long (2 hours) and rentals are only available for 1 day. We made that mistake the first day. In conclusion, we had a wonderful stay and when we go back to Ruidoso we will be staying at the same place.

We had an amazing Christmas Weekend at this beautiful cabin! Shannon went above and beyond decorating it for Christmas. We thought there might just be a Christmas tree but there was so much more. This was one of the best stocked VRBO’s we’ve stayed in. And we’ve stayed at several. Thank you for making our Christmas special and for the yummy treats you left us! We will definitely be back!!!

Awesome Cabin!! We had an amazing time at the Wright’s Cabin. So much space to spread out, beds were great, back porch was awesome, fully stocked with kitchen pots, pans, and Keurig was great for my family. It was a nice place to relax, very close to downtown but felt like it was very private. We had deer and elk visit us in the afternoon. The homeowner was awesome to answer questions, very responsive! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a really nice getaway!!

This is a beautiful property and had everything we needed for our stay. The kitchen was well equipped for making meals. There were plenty of towels and clean blankets. That is something I'm VERY particular about. The bedding, pillows and blankets all smelled clean and fresh! Shannon was quick to respond with any questions we had. We appreciated the welcome goodies he left, too! All in all, this was a perfect place to enjoy Ruidoso with our family. We certainly hope to come back again!

We stay at this cabin every summer and we love it. The property is beautiful and this past trip there were numerous elks on the property. Clean, spacious, beautiful back porch and great amenities!

This has to be one of our best properties we have rented staying in Ruidoso. Plenty of room for my entire family and Shannan was wonderful to speak with. We (our family) rented this last summer but for only 4 days. This year, we rented it for a week for relaxation. We were met with 4 elk outside grazing...obviously waiting on corn to be thrown out. The interior is well appointed with the living room adjoining the kitchen area. There are ample kitchen utensils to cook family meals for 4 adults and 2 children. While there, we cooked and enjoyed Enchiladas and Chile Rellenos, grilled hamburgers & steaks on the grill on the porch and had a birthday party with our 5 year old. The grandparents (me) stayed in the master that has a large, 2 sink/mirror area, soaking tub and shower (2 nozzles). It has a large, comfortable king bed that has an entry that leads to the best part of the home…the deck. This house is in town. It’s a convenient 5 minute drive to Albertson and 15 minutes from a casino. It’s in a cul-de-sac, making a great play area for kids biking and it’s about 1 minute on an eBike from a bike path around the golf course. The deck is where most of us stayed…most of the time. We took a 10lb Shitzu that could play on the deck. Just of one side is a small contained area for him to do his business. The deck has a table, chairs and rocking chairs for you to enjoy the view. When your on the deck, it seems you’re a world away from the city. It overlooks a small creek and grassy area. Elk came and bedded down in the grass for afternoon naps. They came to the back deck…within 3’ to eat corn…looking eye to eye with the Shitzu. Obviously, pretty used to people. At night, there are 2 butane heaters that keep the porch warm and a gas fireplace as well. It also has a gas / charcoal grill on the porch for burger & steak grilling. One afternoon, we had an afternoon shower. While it was 100’s back in Texas…we enjoyed 66 degrees at 4pm in the afternoon. We had a delightful stay in the mountains!
