The property is about 1.5 hours ahead of Wayanad town. We were blown away by the overall experience. The exceptional food, the greenery around, the comfort, and most of all, the staff. They were proactive in whatever they did, extremely polite and courteous group of folks. The naturalists on board took us for short treks, even in pouring rain, and it was the most fun activity ever. They pointed out rare species of birds, animals and plants, and told us interesting things throughout the trek. The property is extremely clean as well, and very mindful of the waste it generates. You will hardly find any plastic in use. We too made sure we brought back our plastic waste with us.

A dressing room should be provided in the family room and a room should be at least 100 meters away from other rooms.

Well maintained and peaceful.. loved the hospitality. The food here turns out to the icing on the cake. Lovely gesture by the staff to decorate our room and give us a signed card along with the cake on our anniversary.

The staff were really helpful and the naturalists in particular made special efforts to meet our needs in terms of the walks etc. The rooms were clean, the food was great. The hotel managers were chatty and we felt very welcome. They were so nice that I feel bad to mention the things I’ve written below, but it’s what I wish we’d have known when booking.

The property is not how it appears in the photos. The rooms are stacked upon each other and the views contained rooftops of other rooms and outbuildings. The pool is tiny and looks directly over a roof - the photograph angle is very misleading. It would have been a nicer stay if the photos didn’t exaggerate the facilities, marketing should be more honest. We were told by the manager that we could have requested a different room, and I wish we had done. So that would be advice for future guests! They are so accommodating and helpful, but I am not sure it would have changed my overall opinion. The naturalist walks are the same each day, there seems to be no reason to stay more than one night. The night walks are solely around the property. We asked for maps to conduct our own walks and we’re told it’s not possible - we did not feel connected to nature whatsoever because it was so restrictive. Please offer more diverse activities and give people the chance to actually be in the forests, it’s why we’d chosen your hotel and we were left disappointed.
