We enjoyed a lovely 10 days in the Villa. Check in and communication with John was fantastic. We received lots of information prior to departure and the Villa was beautifully clean and tidy when we arrived. Located in a quiet spot up the hill out of central Nerja. We loved the pool and found the communal pool just behind for a good proper swim in the mornings. Supermarkets were close by but a steep walk back to the villa. We would have enjoyed a BBQ but the kitchen was well equipped and very modern. A great base to explore the area - Burianna beach, Nerja caves, Frigilliana, Balcon de Europa.

A beautiful villa with good size pool in stunning Nerja ‘village’ location which is a highly maintained tropical paradise having the added bonus of a v stylish series of outdoor pools and sunbathing area within a short walk from the villa. The villa is v well maintained with a lovely new kitchen, great view and everything else you need for your stay. John, the owner, is really helpful and very quick to respond. We didn’t hire a car so either walked into the ‘village’ centre or got a bus/taxi into Nerja. Would really recommend for a southern Spanish stay.

A spacious, very well equipped Villa with a lovely pool and terrace. Great location in a quiet area only a five minute drive down to the beach / town. Excellent communication from the owners too. Would definitely recommend.

This is a lovely, well maintained and spacious house with a well equipped, modern kitchen. The extensive terrace and pool area has fantastic views of Nerja and the mountains to the west. We really enjoyed watching the sunset from the the upstairs verandah. There is ample parking at the house and it is easy to reach the main road and the supermarkets near by. The host was very helpful and made us feel very welcome. Thanks again for a nice time in Nerja.

We had such a nice stay and were really happy with the house. Clean, cozy, fully equipped, wonderful terasses and nice pool. Any question at all were answered swiftly by John. The walk to Burriana beach is steep downhill, but a nice walk nonetheless. The neighbourhood were very nice and quiet. We would definitely recommend a stay here.

Belle villa avec une cuisine équipée neuve avec tout le nécessaire. Deux grandes chambres et une moyenne joliment décorées , avec une literie confortable et propre. Un grand salon . Toutes les pièces sont équipés d'un climatiseur et d'un ventilateur. Une piscine entretenue et propre en face d'une terrasse avec 4 longues chaises et un salon de jardin. Le quartier est calme situé dans les hauteurs de Nerja. La vue est imprenable sur la terrasse de la chambre, vue sur la ville et la mer. La résidence est sécurisée pour les enfants avec des grilles qui se ferment pour l'accès à l'extérieur et aux terrasses. La communication avec John est excellente. Il est bienveillant et réactif. Je recommande cette location surtout pour les familles avec enfants.

We spent 1,5 weeks (4 adults and 2 older children) in this villa which is just as described. Wonderful outdoor area where you find both sun and shade together with a very nice pool. Contact with John was easy throughout the booking and stay. We walked down to Nerja center every evening for dinner and then took taxi back because it's very much uphill walking back (taxi is very cheap). Only item to improve are the air conditioner timers that can be set to max 2 hours which forced us to go up in the night few times to press the timer when it got to warm in the bedrooms.

This is a comfortable, modern and attractive house in a residential development just on the outskirts of Nerja, but only five minutes' drive to excellent beaches, shops and the old town centre. The house has air-conditioning, a modern kitchen and a small pool, all in very good condition. WE really enjoyed our stay here and found the owner easy to contact and helpful.

We enjoyed our stay here last month. The villa catered well for a family of three with a young baby. Excellent WiFi and the English tv channels were a bonus allowing us to watch the Rugby World Cup games! We were very lucky with the weather and we were able to enjoy the sunshine on the terrace for the whole day. The air conditioning (although we didn’t need it) is a real bonus too. We would recommend that the mattresses are upgraded on the beds - my husband has had a couple of back operations a few years ago and struggled with sleep at night. All in all, we enjoyed our stay!

This was our first family holiday with our 7 month old and this villa was perfect. It has absolutely everything you would need (even a hand blender for purées). The pool area is very private and has beautiful views of Nerja. We hired a car and it’s a quick 5 min drive into the town but there’s also a regular bus service that runs a few minutes walk from the villa. There are a couple of nice restaurants very closeby for lunch / dinner or Burriana beach is about a 20 min walk with lots of places to eat. Communication with John was great and he was extremely helpful throughout our stay. I would definitely recommend this villa for a family trip!

My family and I spent one week here in this beautiful apartment. And this is what I will call HOLIDAY. Traveling with our daughters (14 and19) and our son (21) we did enjoy every minute. The apartment and rooms are spacy and beds are good, the kitchen is brand new and works excellent🙂. The pool and pool area was great, we spent a lot of time here on the sunbeds or in the shallow. Just perfect for us. Great wiew to Nerja and the ocean. The surrounding area was tip top, easy to park and surprisingly quiet. There are some good restaurants and small supermarkets not far away, we loved Mercadona supermarket down by the main road and Rockys restaurant nearby. In Nerja, you will find plenty of restaurants and shops of all kinds. We parked at the big parking area in Nerja, cost you an euro, but saves your car from scratches. We can truly recommend this apartment!

Excellent communication from John from day one of the booking process. Villa exceeded expectation, lovely new modern kitchen and great views over Nerja. Would recommend to anyone looking for a large sunny Villa within walking distance of the town centre.

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely villa. We particularly enjoyed the two terraces which had great views and plenty of outdoor furniture. The nice lounge and dining area was very spacious with comfortable furniture. Spacious bedrooms and bathrooms with comfortable beds and soft towels. Our only critic was that the kitchen could do with a little TLC. .We had a few issues with the kitchen but these were quickly sorted out by the property management team. All in all a perfect place to have a relaxing holiday. A bus service into town for 1 euro or a taxi for 8 euros,

A new no. 1 in our favorite places to stay in Costa Tropical. The house well maintained, well equiped and nicely clean uppen arrival. The pool is bigger than it looks and our boys had blast svimming and diving in it...:-) The few problem we had during our stay was solved swiftly by the owner and the estate managers... Having spent 3 hot days sightseeing in Granada, we were looking forward to arriving at the villa for some rest and relaxation. After doing a large shop, buying some fantastic fresh fish, ( supermarkets at the bottom of the urbanisation ) we arrrived at John and Pat's wonderful villa. The sea view from the pool area is spectacular and even better from the balcony off the master bedroom. While the villa itself was extremely well equipped and comfortable, the outside space with the pool, table and covered seating area, make this the perfect place for true outdoor living. Sitting back with a glass of chilled wine, peacefully watching the swallows swooping and dipping with that wonderful sea view, was the perfect remedy to a busy life. Nerja itself has plenty of beaches but if you are happy to drive for a few minutes, Maro beach with its little cafe and water sports is a great find for a quieter, less touristy beach experience. John and Pat were extremely helpful and we were very happy to spend a week in their home. We look forward to returning.

This is the second time we have visited this villa as we loved it so much. It doesn't disappoint on any level. It is well equipped, a lot of thought and effort has gone into making sure guests have everything they need. The location is so peaceful and yet near to the centre . We hired a scooter and saw lots of new places. We had the best holiday in a very long time. A true home from home in Spain thank you to John and pat for the opportunity. We would recommend this villa and have to anyone wanting a fantastic holiday.

We were a family of 3 adults and 3 children. The villa was exactly like the photos, very clean and comfortable. The pool was a joy and some days we never left the poolside. John was a wonderful host and was in continual communication with us. Hope to visit Spain again and will definitelty visit Nerja and this villa.

Wow, the photos just do not do the villa or the views justice! This is a must place to go! You open the door to the most welcoming and spacious of places, the lounge/dining area is far bigger than portrayed in the photos, as is the pool, which is a lot bigger than depicted. The bedrooms are light and airy, and with ceiling fans keeping the bedrooms nice and cool during the night. First impressions as you walk through the door are just breath-taking, what a great place to spend a couple of weeks unwinding and relaxing, we were so chilled out by the end of the two weeks we were almost horizontal! The villa is nestled on the side of the hill overlooking the town of Nerja, with some fantastic views from both the terrace and balcony, situated far enough away to give you a tranquil relaxing atmosphere where you can enjoy being by the pool, but not too far away to enjoy the sites of sounds of Nerja. Some really fantastic restaurants both locally and a little further afield. A trip to Frigliana which is about 15 minutes away by car well worth a visit, especially if you can tie in with the '3 Cultures' festival, which is the last weekend in August, the fireworks were amazing. A car is probably essential, but local taxis are on hand and are relatively cheap, a round trip into Nerja is about 12 EUROS. Don't just take my word for it, read the other reviews, this is a great place to stay for a couple of weeks. Shame we've already booked somewhere else for 2017 otherwise we would have been booking with Pat & John again, hopefully 2018! Enjoy!

As soon as we walked in the door we felt relaxed. The villa was just perfect, clean, well equipped and so peaceful. We loved every minute of our stay and for the first time ever didn't want to go home. Would recommend some sort of transport as a bit hilly on the way home. We opted for a scooter and had a brilliant time. All in all the best holiday we have had, hope to go back again next year.

We have stayed at Pat and John's villa almost every summer for the last 10 years. The moment we walk through the door we can totally relax. We are a family with 3 children aged 14, 8 and 4 and this villa ticks all the boxes. It is fully equipped with large flat screen tv, docking station and wifi , fantastic pool and terrace with table and chairs, bbq, sun loungers , plenty of board games and DVDs , a garage full of buckets and spades and inflatables which suits all of our needs. There are 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs. The main bedroom has an ensuite with a balcony overlooking the sea and the town. It's a great place to sit, relax and enjoy the views. The pool and terrace are totally enclosed which is a necessity for little ones and it can be accessed by the kitchen and the lounge which both have safety grills fitted. Our children absolutely love the pool which is a must have in the Spanish heat. In fact all of our children have first learnt to swim in this pool. The villa is situated in a quiet, well maintained, friendly urbanisation with wonderful sea views. The urbanisation itself, has a well stocked grocery store, bakery, restaurants and bars a short walk away or there are 2 larger supermarkets which are located on the main road at the bottom of the Urbanisation which is 2mins by car. Nerja Market day is Tuesday and it is held close by on a neighbouring Urbanisation. Nerja itself still holds its traditional Spanish charm with many beautiful beaches and coves to explore. The town itself is lovely with charming shops, a huge variety of restaurants and bars without forgetting the Balcon de Europa which has amazing sea views. Burriana sandy beach is great for children and is closest to the villa, only a couple of minutes in the car. Our favourite beach restaurant is El Moreno Merendero, located on the far right. Their paella is great. Nerja caves, just 5 minutes drive away are a must see. Nerja has something for all ages. It is advisable to hire a car so that you can explore the whole area. You are spoilt for choice with things to do in the surrounding area. We absolutely love it here and always discover something new every visit . We have enjoyed so many happy holidays here over the years with different friends and family. Each time we have had a lovely, memorable time. Pat and John are always very accommodating and lovely hosts. I would thoroughly recommend this villa in Nerja to anyone. It ticks all the boxes. Truly special!

My husband, two children and I have been visiting Nerja for many years this was our first time to stay in this area of Nerja and we loved it. The views from our bedroom balcony and pool terrace were breathtaking, extremely peaceful location and the villa was fantastic. The villa is well equipped and the pool is fabulous. Our children are 8 and 6 years and although good swimmers it was great to be able to lock the grills on the door and know they couldn't swim unsupervised. It was the Commonwealth Games while we were staying and during breaks from the sun it was great to watch it on the large flat screen TV. Wi-fi and a docking station were also an added bonus. The villa was extremely comfortable. We hired a car for our stay. All correspondence with John and Pat was speedy and informative we would definitely recommend this property and love to stay again.

We had a fabulous time in the Nerja villa. It was clean, spacious and well equipped. The ceiling fans in the bedrooms were fantastic as it was extremely hot during the night. The pool was large and very clean, with ample sun beds and chairs for dining and entertaining. The area surrounding the villa was very hilly and may not be suitable for people with mobility difficulties, but if you hire a car then its not a problem. I would definitely go back to this villa as the complex it was on was beautiful and well maintained. Nerja town is well worth a visit with its many bars and restaurants, there is something for everybody. There are many beach coves to visit and Burriana Beach is a lively and bustling place day or night. Loved every minute of our stay and would recommend this villa as your base to explore this beautiful area of Spain
